coat of city
Center with the view to Town Hall
and Towh hall and the Catholic Church in winter
That looks pretty nice.
The city, mainly the winter picture.
Yeah my town is famous for that picture. Even when temperature falls under -20 to -25C , i love to walk through the center, just to see that picture. it's bring some nostalgic thought in my heart.
This is my state. Santa Catarina http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Catarina_%28state%29
I have not seen one african american in any of those pictures ;p
African americans are less than 0.5% of the population here. If you want to see a lot of them in Brazil you can always go to the Northeast. There is a Mulato at 1:42 though at the left, he's approx. 65% black.
Diversity is our middle name.
sorry that I have already created another topic with this (I miss "delete" button on this forum),
because I think it's also suitable for this thread.
During week I am in the college house of the University of Technology in Brno.
And this is what I can see during twilight from a window:
http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/433/koleje.jpg
(click to see the whole picture, currently it's my desktop wallpaper)
First I took 2 photos with 1.6MPix phone camera then connected and fixed them in the GIMP (I had to use perspective tool, clear those photos from noise - esp. sky, change colours a bit).
However some details couldn't be fixed - like blue Siemens neon light.
Near buildings are college house buildings, there is by-pass highway behind those trees (and few other things),
those buildings in the front of the tall one are office buildings which belong to Siemens, IBM, sgi and few others.
That tall building is main building of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication connected to main building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the right side and other buildings which belong to these faculties, few more buildings are behind. Simply it's whole campus of two Brno University of Technology faculties.
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/981/spa0553.jpg
However my faculty (IT) lies a quarter hour away by foot.
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/1315/spa0541.jpg
Now you can see, how this camera on Samsung mobile phone takes photos (inferior to any real digital camera).
I think about getting some real camera, but currently I don't have spare money on this (and I think I'll buy one, because in Summer I am going to Alaska to work hard in one salmon-processing factory).
However do you think this hour GIMP job was worth for it?
Foz do Iguaçu - Brazil
The city is famous for it's waterfalls (Iguaçu Falls), and its Hydroeletric Dam (Itaipu), and for Brazilians the city Ciudad del Leste in Paraguai (because of their low taxes everything is cheaper, but there is a lot o fakes products )
Here we have the second largest arab comunity in Brazil, losing only to São Paulo
Main Street
Iguaçu Falls
Itaipu
Bridge between Brazil and Paraguai

from my hometown (not of mine production)
My town finished building this recently. I forgot the English name for this thing but it keeps the sea water (left) from blending in with the river (right) to guarantee the ocean looks beautiful year round regardless of tide or weather.
It is roughly 1 kilometer long and happens to be a wonderful fishing spot as well because you can technically go deep in the ocean on foot and stay dry too.
I'm not sure there IS an English word for it since I don't know if they even have these in the UK . We have tons of them in the Netherlands - we need them to manage all the water - but not as pretty as that though .
in a house
Nope sorry.
I'm from england
West yorkshire
You should've posted your original name .

Wisconsin, USA
Guelph Ontario Canada eh?
That place is all nice and stoof, but I really hate how all them poolar bears keep chewing on my TV cables. In the end, I would hop on my snowmobile and drive to Tim Hortons to watch TV there. Now I don't mean to be mean, or anything, I dont want any trouble, but I love to eat bAgELs with my Tim Hortons coffee super ultra.
Oh, and this one time, I hopped on my snowmobile to go to the hockey rink eh? And a penguin lept out and poked out my left eye. I went to the hospital, but it was no big deal, since the hospitals here are free eh?
In the University of Southern California doing my 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree. Just started on Monday and it's been brutal, both the weather and the academics D:

That's my current dwelling, in an idyllic little town known as Goodtown.
The mountains of Asia, specifically Laguna, Philippines.

Now I saw that topic, too late, huh.
For me: Asia, Vietnam, south.
I live on Holy Terra in Durango, Colorado USA(In 30,000-ish years will be part of The Imperium of Man)
thsi is a pic of downtown
and the Animas(river of souls) that runs through town
That totally looks like the typical rural, super-idyllic US smalltown that would be under threat from aliens, monsters or a deadly virus in every B-movie ever.
But the mayor won't allow the feds to get involved because he doesn't want to ruin the thanksgiving/independence day/founding anniversary celebrations that only happen once every year.
I hope that dosen't happen though its not too small it has around 15,000 people which is 3 times more than the town I spent most of my child hood in which was Milton, Wisconsin and had around 5,000 people in it
Though if an alien invasion/ deadly virus(zombies?)/ monster attack happened I think the we would be ok because there is a depot where the U.S Government has stockpiled around 60? billion rounds of ammo near by so I think that thwy would probably come in any way to protect their ridiculous ammo stock pile
then again mabey not because I'm pretty sure it is just one of many around the country
Also I forgot to mention that it si a college town home to Fort Lewis College and a large number of stoners because pot is now legal in Colorado
I live in the typical suburbia, about 25 minutes outside Washington DC, and probably 15 minutes by Metro to the White House,s.
surrounded by scores of Defense Contractors, and multiple military bases.
- Lockheed Martin
- Northrop Grumman
and on and on...
- Edwards Airforce Base (Yes, you wouldn't be surprised at the number of aircraft maneuvers that happen. I've seen Chinooks, F-22s, UH-60s, A B-2 Spirit (only once though) )
- Quantico
- And of course, Pentagon, Norfolk, Fort Myer, barracks, barracks, barracks.
-And the US Naval Academy.
Yeah. Where I am around here, it'd probably be considered a pretty "Nuclear family" type of town,
Gentlemen...You probably wonder why I've gathered you here...

The mech in my profile is the Cougar mech from the Xbox game Mechassault. I checked out the mod, and it has some really cool looking models.
