I’m again starting this thread with the purpose to list all the new things we learned from the video feed part two. I’ll list the facts cronologically, also I’ll point out things that Andrè and Louise didn’t say but that we can extrapolate from the video. Keep in mind that since all this mod is in development when I say how many units or how long a general power last can change in the future.


New Map Effects:
-Geyser
-Improved waterfall
-These two new affect will be given free to the community in order to give the possibility to add them in custom maps.

Blackout Node:
-It is a 5 star level general power.
-It has a recharge time of 2:00 min as for now.
-It is a building that pops out from the terrain.
-It gives in its range black shroud (not just fog of war), this means that your opponent won’t be able see the landscape or to use any generals power or superweapon or artillery bombardment in the black-shrouded area also in his minimap will appear a black area.
-This black area will be unveiled when a unit’s line of sight or an intelligence power will be present/utilized in the area (I’m saying this because it has the very same mechanic of Kassad’s radar van upgraded with radar jammer).
-When deployed the node will show its range of shrouding with a radar-similar green circle.
-It is useless against AI since it can see trough the black shroud.
-Since the reason directly above, Andrè has an under discussion idea to make the node useful even against AI making it stealth.

Tomahawk:
-It will have two mode
-The first mode is the old short range tracking missile. It will home in the target, and it will be quite fast.
-The second mode is a new long range missile. The missiles won’t home in the target and will be quite slow, they will deploy wings during the fly, and finally they will have a very long range of 700 units.

Crusader Mk.II:
-it will have two modes: hover mode and track mode.
-In hover mode the crusaders will be able to move fast but the combat effectiveness will be halved.
-In hover mode they won’t be able to go over water.
-It has a new shot sound, that comes from a modified shot sound of RA3's Guardian

Russian Airfield:
-the airfield now require a 1 star level general point called “WS fighter support” to be built
-it has only three slots for aircrafts
-It can repair helicopters, but you can only produce aircraft
-The aircrafts can now take off and land at the same time (a very useful feature in order to perform an anti bomber scramble)

Barracks:
-they have real patriotic text on it

Weapon bunker:
-it can launch a surveillance missile
-the surveillance missile will be available every 3:00 min
-it will unveil all the fog of war on the path of its flight.
-At the targeted end of the flight will ram into the ground doing burning damage, actually useful only against infantry

Conscript paradrop:
-it is a 3 star level general power
-it will be available every 3:00 mins
-it will deliver 12 conscripts on the target area
-the delivery will be performed by a Mi-26 Halo helicopter

Armor reserves:
-It is a 3 star level general power
-It will be available every 4:00 mins
-It will drop on the targeted area some decommissioned vehicles that Russian war factories no longer produce.
-The vehicles delivered are unmanned and every faction can man them, also the AI will do it.
-The vehicles are as for now 2 Rhino tanks (aka T-64) and 2 BRDM-1.
-The Rhino is weaker than the Kodiak in armor and firepower
-It has the smoke grenade ability, and the ability to fire a cannon launched rocket with range longer than the cannon
-As it seems in the video the cool-down time of the rocket will be around 15 seconds
-The BRDM-1 is fast-moving rocket-attacking vehicle.
-It fires a burst of fast moving rockets that homes in the target
-Its range is longer than cannon but cannot outrange defences (cannot be used as an artillery)
-these two type of vehicles will be both affected by the Russian compression missiles engines upgrade in their rocket attacks

Satellite Scan:
-It is a 3 stars level general power
-It will replace the old satellite scan
-It comes in 3 level, each one unlocked by a general point, short, medium and long.
-It will be available every 2:30 min
-It will bring down an actual satellite that can be controlled and moved in any direction like a normal unit, but cannot be shot down by AA.
-The satellite scans the ground giving line of sight and revealing stealthed units.
-It has a conical scanning area
-The satellite will remain controllable and operative as long as last the power: first level 30 sec; second level 1 min; third level 2 min.
-In this way the cool down between two utilization of the satellite scan at level 3 will just be 30 sec.
-The satellite can target a unit and if the targeted unit moves, the satellite will follow it.
-If your units fire at targets that are in the scanning cone they will fire twice as fast as they would normally fire.
-As pointed by Andrè this firing bonus can be affectively exploited by artillery since they normally have short line of sight but long range and rate of fire.
-At the end of the time of utilization the satellite comes back in the space, out of sight

Nuke Cannon:
-It has an updated model.
-The old deploy/undeploy problem has been resolved.
-It will remain deployed and will automatically fire on targets that comes in range.
-The nuclear explosion particle effect has been visually upgraded,it's been made by Failure, a recent addiction to the team.
-the explosion has more area of effect and firepower
-It has a new type of shell: the EMP shell.
-These shells will powering down every vehicle.
-The EMP affect will last as long as the nuke cannon can fire another shell.
-The nuke cannon no longer has the neutron shells.

Firebase
-The firebase will start without the artillery piece on top of that but can be upgraded
-the units inside the base can be controlled

Blackhawk:
-It comes out of the airfield with 8 rangers already loaded.
-It can perform combat drops
-As stated by Andrè it will be cheaper combat dropping with it than with Chinook.
-It cost without rangers 400$ so we can assume that purchasing it will be worth 2200$ in total (rangers 225x8=1800; 1800+400= 2200)
-It has one minigun on the side left manned by a ranger that can be affective against infantry
-It is available directly when you purchase an airfield

I believe you wanted to say that it's currently useless, not useful.

i still think the airfield should be used for the rapid deployment general would make more sense and leave the old or possibly more updated version of the 4 plane airfield to the others

Maybe you should see how the 1.5 version plays before binning the new airfield?

oh i wasnt binning it at all i love it but now that i think of it were not adding generals yet so ya in 1.5 would put it thru a great test run but when the time comes to add generals i was just saying

isnt the rapid deplyment general more about copters and infantry than other generals? IIRC the Hind was exclusive to him

also OP forgot about the modified guardian shot sound as new crussader 2 shot sound mindfuck.gif
