SWR Productions Forum _ ShockWave Support _ Shockwave crash

Posted by: Python99 19 Feb 2013, 11:35

Hello everybody

I have a problem running Shockwave and zero hour in general. every time I start it up it goes well, but when it comes at the loading screen, it crashes, saying: 'you have encountered a serious error. this can be caused by many things, like viruses, overheated hardware an hardware that does not meet the minimum specifications'. My virus scanner says I have no viruses, my hardware never peaks over 50 degrees Celsius, and with a processor of 3 GHz and an video card witch runs crysis 2 on the highest settings, it seems strong that my hardware isn't right. It is patched to 1.04. It began yesterday, after I played an Contra (another mod) for 3 hours non stop. Then I uninstalled Contra and installed Shockwave, and then the problems began. Does anybody know a solution?

Contra probably didn't uninstall properly.

You could try to go over your ZH folder and check for leftover contra files, or do a http://www.jlgamefiles.com/mystiquestudios/forum/index.php/topic,1806.0.html

did what you said, but when I tried a LAN game, it doesn't want to load the game, and after 10 minutes, same situation as before.

Are you using Windows 7? If so, did you check the Win 7 tips?
