I think that banning players because of older Gentool versions is not a good idea.

Gentool ver 6.2 is the last version that supported Shockwave camera-height value, new versions revert it to ZeroHour standard,
so you have 2 options:
1. Play without gentool and have higher= better camera height.
2. Play with gentool, but - lower camera height
(camera is closer to the ground so you see less on screen than regular Shw player without gentool)

thats your oppion.
It's not going to be changed.

Either you update to the latest version or don't use gentools.
