that particular moment when your vehicles are being picked off one after another by raptors or migs, there is hardly anything u can do in that T1 situation other than going and hitting those planes where they are most vulnerable, at their airfield. vehicles get picked off so easily that you can't rely on them that they would be able to make it so far to the enemy airfield. bmps are taken out in a single volley, kodiaks wont make it with their pathetic speed and tungaska are taken care of by tow humvees or battlemasters or simply by the air crafts themselves. neither can u cant rely on general's power that early in the game.
hunchback used to be the best bet in that kind of predicament. but with the new nerf in health of the hunchack, it too would be picked off by a single volley of those aircrafts. nerfing hinds makes sense but nerfing hunchbacks would be excruciating for the Russian faction and imo game breaking as it used to compensate a lot for the lack of a Russian T1 artillery while ALL other factions have T1 artillery it at their disposal. Allright first of all if your having interceptor problems, either try building a tunguska the argueably best (after the skyshield) AA structure in the game or grouping Iglas in groups of 6, or my favorite:
Put your Tunguskas behind your barracks. The hunchback gig was rescaled (Not really a nerf cause after the upgrade its somewhat the same) because with the bombs it was really and I mean really hard to rebound with it. It took 3 pairs of bombs to ruin a USA airfield and I think it was 4 for a warfactory. There isnt a single T1 heli in the game that can change the balence of the game so fast. I personally havent tested the new versions helicopters vs jets but in the public build of 1.85 no interceptor could take it down in a single volley, you needed two. Oh and...you could go for berkuts Dont really get the issue people have with burantinos, they can deal decent damage in a large aoe vs armoured units and burn anything else it gets to...Have a group of three of them agaisnt a sqaud of six scorpions and a single full volley from all three is enough. Russia can brute foce with ease, what they just need is to have frontline Iglas rather then tunguskas -------------------- |

Dude, Tungushkas or Kashtans? You worded that so awesome - not to mention that they act quite the same, esp after Assault Armaments - that I can't decide which one you mean. -------------------- AS Discord server: https://discord.gg/7aM7Hm2 | SWR Community Discord https://discord.gg/REcbv37 QUOTE ComradeCrimson: AS is the product of Hungarian acid ComradeCrimson: And magical hussars Dutchygamer: and Weird Al. @Graion, I mean building a kasthan...Sleep is something I havent been getting Still so please excuse my wording. He should try building defences or grouping up iglas, If not then he should hide his AA(Tunguskas) behind his barracks) -------------------- |

Hunchback rush was a thing (not with infantry, just bombs of course) and it got me rekt once or twice because at that stage of the game I didn't have enough AA firepower to deal with all of them so I'm perfectly okay with that nerf.
This was of course a pvp game. -------------------- XAttus

Next stage of betatesting - nerfing USA raptors . And if be serious I'm agree if you nerfing something you must think about ehat effect will be aftermath. Well it just betatesting so I think developers correct this ussiue |

Raptors are supposed to be good vs. air. It's the whole point of being tier 2 AA

Does it need one? I think everything about the choppers is 100% fine and tbh the whole hunchback bomb thing has always seemed silly to me.

Remember that A ) avengers are expensive as hell
and B ) its a hell of a lot easier to spam helis than planes. If you have 5 hinds and the us player has 4 raptors you've won that fight. Not to mention, as Russia, you should already have a large AA network when facing USA. A few Grumbles go a long way towards putting down Raptor strikes. Or even Tunguskas for that matter. |

Here come the fireports fireport aint worth it coz the raptor takes down the miska ALONG with ALL the infantries inside it in a single strike! there goes your 300+4*250=1300 down the drain in a single raptor strike. that way kodiak seems better . at atleast it takes 2 raptors to take dat down |

This topics points are groundless IMO
USA's best/heavy AA are its raptors,a fully upgraded raptor or a fully ranked one can take down anything that flies in a single vollet(Other then blimps ospreys starlifters and GP aircraft) The hunchbacks rescaling was done because not only does it break the US air opening meta without warfactorys T0-T1,hunchbacks also take piss damage from vipers...If they didnt counter MD firebases already or require atleast four volleys of protector missles I'd get your point, but unless you have something for the US side to counteract this helicopter and its bomb that take down an airfield in 3 bombs and a warfactory in 4 plus a gun that can take down anything out of a barracks for lunch then please just let it go -------------------- |

If someone just builds a decent AA those hunchbacks wouldnt be a problem.
