It basically works like this:
1. Start at Tier 0 2. Build a Black Market to unlock Tier 1 3. Purchase new upgrade from Command Truck to unlock Tier 2 4. Build Chemical Lab, produce Tier 2 upgrades 5. ????? 6. Profit! |

The Chemical Plant looks very cool but the tower (if that what's it called) for the black market seems to be a bit off for me, though good work as usual and from the looks of it you'll have to keep killing enemy troops, vehicles and buildings to get extra cash since the Black Market can only be built one at a time which is very interesting. I have to agree about the black market's design. There is no real transition between the dirt/sneak attack hole texture and the base of the central tower. So it indeed looks a bit "off" as the tower is just rising out of the dirt without any sort of solid floor or foundation. However, this is a minor thing and I don't think it really matters and probably looks fine in-game anyway. |

This design seems to force GLA to go out and fight to gain money. Considering that Black Market is tier 1 and provide constant money, this would be interesting. GLA would get eco boost earlier than other factions and gain even more from battle. Very interesting design....

You could also say that the new Bounty mechanic encourages GLA players to mount actual suicide attacks with no purpose other than trashing as many enemy units as possible. Even if your fighting force gets completely obliterated in the process, the economical damage you've caused for your enemy is much greater than the one you suffered for losing your units because a notable percentage of their costs will actually be returned to you if you wreck enough stuff before they go down.
As for Kim's question: The Anthrax Beta upgrade is still in and will be available at the Chemical Lab. However, I do have to retract earlier statements that it's going to be different. We are going to change the effect and look of the GLA's toxin weapons in a later version but as it stands, the upcoming version will still use the old effects, so sorry in advance to anyone who hates the candy colour chemical clouds. I share your pain. |

Yeah I made a blunder last night, went to ModDB and after reading a few recent posts there my hopes started dashing towards the sky. I am pretty sure those were silly attempts at trolling but still had to ask. Oh the basic version is still going to be green but chances are we'll eventually change the cloud texture which currently looks like a very cheap bubble effect from Photoshop. But like I said, this is further down the road. I like the sound of that. Toxin looking more ominous... that should be worth the wait. |

Does the new Black Market's regular income still remains at 20 bucks? This should help, *beep* Wrong. You have 3 different upgrade levels, much like you had 3 levels for the Gen Power. The higher the upgrade the more money you get. It doesn't matter what level your own units are because the money you get is a percentage of the value of the object killed, 10, 20 or 40%. As a small bonus, when you have upgraded to the highest cash bounty the Black Market guys realise they can sell more stuff because you give them enough protection (otherwise you wouldn't accept so many bounties) so the Black Market income is increased from $20 to $50.
