Greetings generals! Thank you once again for attending one of our briefings. Very soon we'll be releasing a new version of your battle software and you'll be able to wage war like never before. We wish to apologize for the delay so today we bring you two updates in one! So let us look at the goodies we have for you tonight! First the renders: Russian Blackout Node The Blackout Node is one of the latest fruits from the Federation’s labor in anti-intelligence warfare. The Blackout Node sends extremely volatile signals that jams communication and sensors making the whole premises as if they were a void of space. These are rumored to have kept the European Continental Army unaware of the buildup of Russian forces along the border. American Nighthawk The Nighthawk is one quickly aging bird but it is still in service. Despite several design flaws and an exuberant price they are still the only stealth attacker the United States Air Force has. Despite these shortcomings the Nighthawk is still one of the most feared aircraft around. American Raptor The Raptor has long been the undisputed king of the skies and the United States Air Force has no plans to retire it anytime soon. It has yet to prove its supremacy against the Federation’s Berkut but with current turns of global politics it is expected that will happen very soon. Since the European Continental Army lost all of its fixed wing aircraft the Raptor may just be what takes back the European skies. Chinese Overlord This tank may no longer be the king of the battlefield but it is still a force to be reckoned with. Allowed to be upgraded for a myriad of roles, the Overlord can always be the unit you can trust in any situation. Nowadays for reasons unknown the Overlord is seen with less frequency due to the fact now it is needed special clearance to manufacture them. They are still however always among the elite of the People’s Liberation Army. Finally, we have some new screenshots for you to look over taken by our testers as compensation for the delay. These are for your eyes only: This concludes all we had to show you for this night. Good luck in the battles ahead generals! This is the SWR Team signing off. -------------------- |

I'm loving the sensory equipment that older w3d models left out compared to the real one.
And the overlord actually looks great now that those decals on the old texture are now actual polygons. |

Those new tech buildings are a lot bigger than I had expected.
Also, I spy some updated Gat Tanks. -------------------- Come visit my 3D art thread! Cookies may or may not be involved. "I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it." |

I guess the Blackout acts as the Russian's gap generator?
Nice reskins and remodels, they look much better. I smell new upgrade visuals too. Nuclear Tank, DU shells, and reactive armor? Awesome as always, waiting for 1.5. |

The models and skins are, as always, lovely, and while one might be forgiven for thinking that small detail updates like on the Overlord matter little in-game it's simply not the case. Almost everything now has its own little unique feature and it livens up a tired engine to a new graphical standard.

Wow! The new raptor looks awsome. I love those camo details on the skin. The Gap Generator, although verry cool in design and ideea will only be usefull in multiplayer imo ( or for an AI to hide an area from you, but that counts little anyway ). The F117, while a really cool remode/reskin ... well as you said in the lore it's old, almost to old. I was hoping for a new design, but then again, i hope we will also see an improved aurora for the airforce subdivision. The ovie ... the new details are really cool ( especialy the turret ones and the treads covers ), but the cannons still lack details. There is something about really long cannons with nothing on them that imo makes them feel boring. But even so, the new ovie looks alooot better.
Screens : I've seen an armor addon on one of the battlemasters - is it an upgrade or a model improvement ? I've also seen some nuke symbols on it - probably the nuke upgrades details. The gattling tank seems to have also recived an update, as well as all gattling weapons ingame ( i only hope that the next release will also have the new helix for china ). The weapons bunker looks alot bigger than i expected and that is just great. The firebase ideea is cool, but i still hope an improved ( preferably more armored - something like shockwave's SWgen firebase ) model will replace this one. With the new artillery addon system, one can only hope for at least another module choice ( would be cool to have a avenger like PDL system as a module ). Ohh and i'll quote Massey on this one : has the radar been given some love - it seems it has a few more details on it ( or i simply haven't noticed them before ). Offtopic - with the new gattling/bunker design it is clear from that screenshot that the propaganda tower needs a new model/skin . Overall awsome ! How long until we can taste it ?! Its me or the firebase in one of the screenshots lacks the cannon? Don't worry, it's not you - that Firebase is indeed cannon-less.(do i also spot a nuclear reactor behind they turrets? or is for nuclear ammo?) Your eyes are certainly working fine here as well.also the overlord in the render looks like it have a black thingy in the "radar" but doesnt appear in to have it ingame I'd say that's just an artefact of the render.Ohh and i'll quote Massey on this one : has the radar been given some love - it seems it has a few more details on it ( or i simply haven't noticed them before ). I'm pretty sure it's the same as it's always been.

Nice update.I really enjoyed it.I also noticed on screen shot no.4 that MiG's tailwings are now diagonal rather than vertical.
If it did,it's certainly got some refreshment in the model... Cheers Поздрав -------------------- |
