hello there people of SWR,
What for anime are you following and/or seen and want it to share with the community For example: 1. make a list for yourself like a top 5. 2. A opinion about the best anime that you have seen. top5 My list of good anime are: - Death Note (probably the best i ever see) - Code Geass - Naruto - Chrono Crusade - Lucky Star Best anime The best anime is of course DeathNote , with the draw-style and the story it's just perfect, people that like plots-twisting must see this anime (cannot better and has a great but sad end in it). PS: yeah, i know that i have a avatar of naruto but that means not for me that naruto is the best anime. -------------------- "If Microsoft, 20 years ago, built Windows in an open way, Linux wouldn't exist, and millions of programmers would be improving Windows rather than competing with it." Well, I just watched a show called 'Eden of the East'. I dunno, I think I'd call it interesting for sure, but I'm not totally sure I liked it. I kinda skimmed through it (which is what I do to series's I'm not sure I like), but I got the basic premise down. Basically there's this dude called 'Mr.Outsider' and he's supposed to be some I'm-somehow-above-the-government type of person. Anywho, he picked 12 people and gave each of them a special cellphone and told them: "Here's 10 billion yen, go save Japan from decay. Oh, here's a bunch of rules: if you spend all your money, you die; if you use the money for your own purposes, you die; if you fail to save the country; you die; if someone else saves the country before you, you die. The only way to live is to save the country first. Oh, you also can't spend the money directly, you have to call the lady in the cellphone to spend it for you. However, the organization can do anything; as long as it's humanly possible, it'll be done. Now go and be a good Messiah and save Japan" Nobody knows who the other 'Messiahs' are, but have access to all the 'purchases' made with the magic cellphone. Also one of the Messiahs is responsible as an 'enforcer' of sorts and killing any Messiah that's breaking the rules (though apparently, only Mr. Outsider, not even the enforce him/herself, knows that that's their job).
Yeah, pretty weird stuff. (Though I've seen weirder) The main character stumbles upon one of these cell phones. (actually, all the 'Messiahs' stumble upon their cells). Anywho, warbleflyff ensues. Some terrorist attack happens, there's some memory wipe thing, some dude streaks in front of the White house waving a gun around, and some other crap happens. I dunno, too much conspiracy theory stuff, to many random random rules and it's a weird show. BUT, I did watch it till the end, which is something I don't normally do for shows I'm not sure I like or not. This probably won't ever get licensed since it's so weird and totally not for the American audience. Still not sure I liked it, but it's not whole keeping on my drive. Well, it's interesting, if weird games and conspiracy theories and 'stupid rules are everywhere' game type of scenarios are your thing, than you should give it a go. (Also, it's only 12 eps, so it's short) -------------------- |
