I like the detail on your tiger tank - sorta box-shaped though... or were you going for that?

Actually, Tiger I is bloky, so.... Alright, still think it's great. Was just wandering. I'm not really familiar with any tanks other than the Challenger II lol This post has been edited by Pickysaurus: 27 Jun 2009, 1:22 -------------------- |

Personally I don't like the chassis of the artillery. Also, since the barrel is so damn long and (presumably) heavy, maybe add some sort of weight at the back so it won't look like it will topple?
The drone looks like it has too much wing in it, and why straight wing? Give it a delta wing perhaps? EDIT: Comments on your older stuff. I like the Tiger, one of my favourite tanks. MLRS is not bad, but I don't know how to appreciate it. (I have a problem with not liking radical things at first, only to get used to it later) This post has been edited by JJ: 28 Jun 2009, 10:55 |

kkk.
@JJ, Thanks for the comments on the Tiger! About the artilery, yes, that's heavy and long range (i've already coded it) . You're right about the chassis, i'll along it a little more. The drone is a small drone, but i'll see what i can do about the wings. Well, my lastest model is a Flame Anti Air unit for China. The damm plane thing almost took out the threads...well i'll post a better render soon. 725 polys. Feedback as ways, is welcome. -------------------- |

While the modelling skill on display is reasonably good, there are two issues here from my point of view:
1) The large plate-on-a-stick thing on the back is problematic because it is both lacking in detail (I assume it is a radar, but a radar needs to point upward if it's going to scan the air), flimsy-looking and would hinder the 360-degree rotation of the turret. This is why all SPAAG systems with a radar and SAM TELARs with a turret have the radar mounted on the turret itself. 2) There is a very good reason why flamethrowers are not used against aircraft, and that reason is spelled out in five letters, namely, and in order, R, A, N, G and E. While I appreciate that the unit is not meant to be realistic, the very concept of using flamethrowers against aircraft is so completely nonsensical that it destroys the creativity of the use of a diverse weapon type. I'd get rid of the radar altogether and simply make it an anti-infantry or anti-structure unit lest you start to imitate Crazy Mod. First of all thanks for the feedback, CommanderJB.
1) Yes, i'm planning to remake the radar. 2) About the crazynees of the weapon, i'm just following orders from: http://www.moddb.com/mods/chinese-dominance Chinese Dominace Mod. And i think it'll be prety cool. I know, this is not realistic, but....this is a MOD =P and not a copy of Crazy Mod. -------------------- |
