Can someone tell me how simple the unit models are? for example, the kodiak tank? how simple is the model and how do you make it look good through textures?
Did you apply normal maps? did you make a high poly model first before you make the low poly? Please help me! I really want to learn and I cant learn from tutorials because I want a basis where its on the same theme as what I want. TANNNKKS! -------------------- |

it depends of the game it is for.. but anyway, for high or low poly model, just search for the blueprint of the units in question.
A good skin will make the model look like it has more polys than its current count. |

Im having a hard time unwrapping. So,I decided to make a lowpoly model instead and bake the normals and apply it to a model.

Can someone tell me how simple the unit models are? for example, the kodiak tank? how simple is the model and how do you make it look good through textures? Did you apply normal maps? did you make a high poly model first before you make the low poly? 1. With proper uvmapping and good knowledge in photoshop. 2. ZH doesn't support normal maps so, no. Most of the lines and bumps in my models are done manually in photoshop using glows and bevels. 3. For ZH, no. There's no point in making high poly models unless you plan to make promotional videos with them. -------------------- |

Ok,so I decided to make a low poly model instead, just to practice unwrapping and texturing. Any suggestions?
