Character itself won't change much, we've already done this for the Golem, Shocktrooper and Tesla tanks for the next version. They willl be similar but obviously stating lines pertaining to our universe. Please don't tell me that the Golem will still have the same stupid punk ass voice with only different lines. I would be very disappointed It should be intimidating like the Apocalypse's voice, which is being used by the Sentinel. So the Kodiak is basically a finished version of the Black Eagle.

Now the Sentinel looks more Russian with the signature bowl-shaped turret.
As for the new voices, it'd be great to preserve the sinister feel of those units without getting too stereotypically exaggerated. -------------------- "Not in mood...go away..." "We are going to have to act, if we want to live in a different world." Bringing wrath to a forum near you since 2009! |

Very much even not bad updating Both tanks, and their background. It would be not bad to see them with new voices (Red Alert in similar sorts projects has already got), and though I like approach CWC team more (especially something from voices of the Soviet aircraft), but think and at you it will turn out not bad (I hope for it at least). The certain correction of appearance of Russian buildings in my opinion as would not prevent. In particular models of construction. The brick wall in my opinion very much even in a subject, but a barbed wire is necessary to remove from it.

Besides line based damage, I see a possible slow fire rate for the rail gun and slow turret turning speed.

Beautiful, just beautiful
You know sometimes i think the whole reason EA went F2P with C&C and the no mod thing is because they're tired of being one-upped by community modders -------------------- "You can't kill the Messiah..." |

<...> But since the Sentinel uses a 220mm assault cannon, why not give it the option to either act as short range artillery with large HE shells, or do normal tank combat roles with HESH rounds? I think it could work like the nuke cannon being able to switch between nuclear and EMP shells, but instead of just firing new shells, it could also change the way it fights. But I am liking the new Russian arsenal! While it sounds absolutely logical (hell, since it's 220mm, I'd rather put more HE rounds in it than AP ones - no tank ever would want to get hit by 220mm HE), giving it a splash damage that is fitting for 220m gun would make it rather OP. I mean, it's not supposed to remove unit blobs in few shots. But ehh, sometimes I dream of Zhukov getting Siege Mode Sentinels. (would be broken as hell, though - since it'd be an arty with huge splash, HT armor and 1800 hit points ) P.S. Overhauled Russia is epic. This post has been edited by Knjaz.: 15 Jul 2013, 9:32 |
