I noticed that particularly extended games then to give a "fatal crash" in extended games. It seems to be more common when playing on larger maps. Crash happens after you defeat the last enemy and you are told you won. But you never make it to the score screen. This happened to me even on general's challenge (against the demo and chemical gen).

its been this way since zh but it is more noticeable in shockwave due to all the new stuff. but its really just a data overload and due to the way the game was programed when ever invalid or overloaded data goes through instead of trying to fix the problem it takes the easy way out and shuts the program down tho this also means its much harder to hack too without crashing the program.

I see... What kind of a data overload? Isn't it just the kill count? Or is it because of "save replay" feature?

its alot of things that could be overloaded. But for me to know exactly were the data overload is I'd have too look at the source code but ea owns that and is not viewable by me.

It's annoying but it's also sadly unfixable.

I'd much rather have to start the game up again after every game than have it crash in the middle of the game.

...those issues lies beneath the engine, which only nothing but EA has the right to fix it, which unfortunately, ZH is already in an end-of-life state (i.e. they've ceased having work on it and release no more patches), we'll have to move on and live with it.
