Yet another (alien) invasion story; surely this IS the late 19th century.
Anyway, I haven't seen this one yet, but for those who have seen it, is it any good? Can you recommend it or is it exactly what the previews suggest, i.e. shaky-cam Black Hawk Down with ugly aliens instead of Somalis, USMC fanservice and Michelle Rodriguez doing her standard tough gal shtick? |

Yep...the reviews are pretty much right. Its a Marine fan service with a very predictable story. Blackhawk down was actually a lot better than this. This is too average.

I enjoyed it very much tbh thought it was an excellant film but if your one of them people who hate the whole america fuck yea thing i wouldnt watch it (i personally love the whole america fuck yea thing)

Apart from that, I also found the action to be quite generic and the climax was not too epic as well. A massive air battle/strike after taking down the drone controller would have been nice.

The very thing that got my attention was the pure violence. I'd say it's a good movie to watch.
