Reason for edit box

Is there any way that you can enable the "reason for edit" box to members?

I have seen it used by moderators, but if we could use it in our own posts, it'd save typing something like
"Edit: Spelling"
As we could just put the reason in a box already designed for that.

Well, we use the edit boxes to make it more clear we edited someone's post. Either due to moderation or other reasons.

The edit box has to be one of the most useless things ever IMO. Even as a moo or admin I hardly ever used it - instead I put my message in the actual post.
