Texture on the launch holes seems a tad blurry compared to the rest. Also i would get rid of those 2 extruded bits infront of the cabbin it doesn't look exactly good imo (i know the chaparral has them but yea) And finaly there is a rather big lack of contrast on the unit sofar (to much USA grey/silver and to little other colors that define its shapes and make it look interesting from a distance) I think that is from the render, it can only be... The texture (except the bottom parts) share the same proportions as the other parts and was made by me (wasn't scale). I like those 2 things Yh, I actually thought that giving those white lines at the border of the faces would somehow simulate curved faces and make the texture not look so "boring", they did that, but it stills misses something, I tried low gradients, but still... Even trying to give different tones on some parts, which didnt look very nice... Don't know what to do more. This post has been edited by Oliver: 20 Nov 2014, 22:32 |

Something totally different, as I think that art can be done at the nivel of mapping as well

Maps look great. Especially the "populated" area. That's one thing that I simply cannot do well/don't have the patience for.

^ just to think that I started all this back in August of 2013 and only have a couple of months of experience, makes me regret not starting modding and stuff earlier.
Back to the M270, I think I fixed the issue of contraste... And I am not so sure about the skin on the turret, I have this model so ingrained in my head that I already don't know what looks good or looks bad Close in game screen |

Oh stop, you are making awesome strides and I see potential. Most likely the skills you are acquiring now will carry over into the future.
And I didn't make my first map until then either. Just stick with it and DON'T do the things you're bad at. Comrade and I have shared a few maps that way we can both do what we are good at. Makes the map as an entirety better. -------------------- |

^ Yh true, but I am in trouble with it though... I think it doesnt fit amongst the USA units of ZH/ROTR, or the units in the game, no matter how I go around it, I cant tweak it without taken away the essense of the Semovente.

I understand, maybe a little more traditional format - "box style" - helps a bit; rather than rounded more square shapes forms - a mark of USA in Generals/ZH - China (and ECA in ROTR) uses more semi-rounded and multiangular models. Another interesting detail is to try to reproduce the dark gray texture of the new Paladin, is much more beautiful than the traditional gray of the Crusader. New thing, Panavia Tornado...
Edited model of the Cyclone made by Sargeant Rho, so big credits to him (also with some pieces of the Eurofighter of IPS). Gonna give this a similar skin of the Eurofighter. EDIT 10/02: Progress... This post has been edited by Oliver: 11 Feb 2015, 0:19 |

I finally got to work on the Victor bomber, and I am pretty happy with it, it shares the same style as the vulcan as I wanted, not finished, but I like it

The wings are looking good
I would recommend you separate the layers front windows and the ones just behind. The gradient effect will likely work better if you do that. -------------------- |

If you don't mind I'd like to see you make a try of modelling an ECA-style JAS-39 Gripen multi-role fighter or an ECA-style A08 Archer self-propelled howitzer. Would love to have one as a wallpaper!

The MLRS still need a little more details on the launcher, and then its done..
Not sure about the A08 Archer self-propelled howitzer since I can't almost find no pics of it, and the JAS-39 Gripen, i could give it a try, but it would look way too similar to the Eurofighter. This post has been edited by Oliver: 9 Mar 2015, 15:28 |

Why you don't design fighter on your own,in ECA spirit of course? Like since ECA is into VTOLs they were like making new joint Euro multirole fighter,
but war broke up and only few prototypes were built, don't get me wrong, this is not some kind of request or something,I just liked your work, and would love to see more of you,and we all love fighter jets so I got little carried away This post has been edited by re_simeone: 9 Mar 2015, 23:38 |

If I may, I would find it very neat to see an ECA revival of the MBB Lampyridae/Firefly, a West German attempt at a stealth fighter from the 80s.

They were serious with that thing ? Guess that's how they imagined stealth aircraft back in the 80s,boxiest possible.

If you are taking requests a UH1Y Venom would be cool to see in place of the blackhawk with a 50 Cal on the side instead of a minigun. Dont mean to sound forceful btw was just an idea

Very unlikely, unless it is something really interesting. A stealth-hawk, the one that crashed at the Bin Laden compound. On a serious note though, any update on anything Oliver? -------------------- When we are here, we finish our jobs. European Continental Alliance Strategic Aviation |
