I was playing ShW I had recently downloaded and was mucking around with Leang when my Computer turned off. I turned it on and it turned off. I turned it on again and went into safe mode and it turned off. I turned it on and go onto my desktop and it turned off. I seem to have now turned the computer on without it turning off for about 5 minutes. Any ideas or solutions ?

Open the case, inspect all of your fans and check if they are running.

A dead fan causes elements of your PC to overheat after a certain time, which will prompt an instant reboot the PC.

Since this happened while you were playing a game, I highly suspect your videocard fan.

Yes, that raises a new question, my friend built my computer(hes a genius and knowns his HDMI from DVI etc) suggests me to get the following:
PowerColor Radeon HD4770 512MB - $129
Vantec ION2+ N Series 600W - $84
Arctic Cooling 120mm AF 12025L (5 pack) - $29

Any thoughts or other ideas ?

I thought the idea was to fix your computer, not upgrade it.

I over heated my computers Video card while the fan was still working, plus I might as well upgrade before I get Windows 7.

unlike vista u dont even need to upgrade to use windows 7 as it runs almost the same as XP and im not trying to keep u from upgrading just making a point.

as for upgrading shock even if the the new line of cards come out next month its not like hed have the money for a 4890X2 anyways so he might as well upgrade to what he wants to get which is a 4770 which is pretty good itl last awhile i mean hell my 2400HD Projust BARELY runs crysis on low not to mention its the SMALL card the case i have is half of that of a standard sized case so hes way up from were im at and my pos comp. so ide say upgrade man u got nothing to lose plus thats pretty good prices your getting there too

Well the 58xx series is coming soon with DX11 support which is probably what Shock meant. Though I'd imagine the lower end 57xx series will take more time as usual. There is also NVidia to consider ofc tongue.gif
