HI everyone, would like to know what is ur use of the USA's WASP because i tried it several times and instead there is written in his description that he is good against infantry and structures, i agreed for infantry but structures... not really : ) so its not cheap and the pathfinder is stronger for that ... any suggestion for me?

It used to be OP in every patch and update So-So
And has been nerfed to the ground every patch and here we are today.....It was so OP in groups of 4-6+ Guess the devs didnt want it to be an AA meatshield -------------------- |

That being said, I bet AirForce gen artillery capabilities will need to be looked into, in 2.0 |

With the deploying requirement, it has fallen into distraction role where you use it to divert enemy focus from your forces.

But without deploying, it is the most annoying hit and run arttilery.

We're currently paying a bit more attention to them in games. So far it seems that it's somewhat harder to keep drones engaging enemy units.

They created very hard to deal with gamestates, so yes the unit may seem a bit weak in terms of firepower. We didn't really have the magic solution for its problems so thats why we nerfed it a lot.
Future changes in mechanics and unit mixes from the general system will probably include a re-evaluation of this units stats. -------------------- |

It used to be alot better. Than it got nerfed. If I recall correctly, a single WASP drone could withstand 2-3 Grumble missiles so it definitely needed a nerf. I don't use it too much, though it seems like it's done a full circle and now the drones can be destroyed so easily that it isn't all that useful anymore. Maybe adding a PDL to the drones to intercept small missiles, or letting it attack on the move instead of deploying, or something - could be done to make it a little more effective. |

From what I hear, one of our valient testers booted up a game against a computerized GLA player on hard, and built 6 WASP hives. He went to bed, and when he woke up.. they were still there.

The story is a bit different, lol But yeah, it included WASP-based defense line (more than 6 of those on each side, I think- around 10+), 2 Hard GLA's and the game indeed lasted till the morning, even if greatly slowed down. The real game duration was about 3-4 hours, I think. In the end, I guess, WASPs got dispersed enough to lose their "critical mass" - never really bothered to watch the full replay. (they tend to move a bit from time to time on their guard mode) This post has been edited by Knjaz.: 16 Feb 2013, 16:13 |
