For reference I have The first decade edition, running on Win 10.

I've recently downloaded the shockwave mod and ran into a problem during installation, it seems it was installed improperly(it was installed directly to desktop by default..I dunno where else it shoud have gone) screenshot below:

and when I went to try to uninstall it, I am unable to do so. I go directly to the control panel > programs>uninstall program and go to the mod, I click uninstall and it dosent do anything. I then look under the program files, it's apparently saved under the same file as the TFD edition, I see it has it's own uninstaller, so I decide to try and uninstall it from there. And nothing happens! The mouse cursor just loads like it's about to do something but never does, sometimes that window freezes and I have to close it from task manager or restart computer.

Screenshot of unistall issue from program files:

Now I am left with a non-working mod and no way of removing it from my computer, so any thoughts?

Note: I uninstalled TFD to see if that would allow me to remove the mod and the program files folder is still there with TFD and mod.

If you already uninstalled TFD, you can just delete the folder and reinstall everything.

So I finally fixed the issue. I realized it was the uninstaller inside the folder that was holding up the folder from being deleted completely, I deleted the other contents and used IObit to remove remaining registry changes and other miscellaneous files, only then could I remove the remaining uninstaller. Removing contents from folder IS NOT ENOUGH. I double checked under installed programs and Shockwave 1.1 would still be listed otherwise. It was a weird issue, but there it is. I still can't explain how uninstaller in program dosen't work or normal uninstall through windows. I was trying all kinds of programs to remove all traces of the mod before reinstalling like Revo, IObit and even tried using Cmd prompt. I was about to go into the registry to try and get it out, but being a newb in registry changes I was hoping it wouldn't come down to that.

Note: After I fixed uninstall issue, I noticed during installation the program would still keep placing it in the wrong folder. During default install, it would always choose the TFD main folder instead of the Zero hour subfolder, so I made the change to that folder and viola!

That's because the installer updates a registry key that all SWR related mods, updates and installers use.
