I listen to pretty much any Genre but the main ones I listen to are Dubstep(Not the Skrillex crap that is electrohouse disguised as Dubstep), 80s-2004 Hip Hop(Before the "Swag Era"), Jazz, Strings combined with other genres, and Rock and Alternative. One thing I request is please don't start flame wars this thread is about sharing music not criticizing others music taste. Well all I have to say now is POST AWAY biggrin.gif

I will start it off:
Youth of the Nation- POD

Remember the Name-Fort Minor

300 violin Orchestra-Jorge Quintero

Feeling Good-Michael Bublè

I was wondering why there was no thread like this biggrin.gif

Anyway: 90% of what i like is the classical genre, Arab classic songs which are the best to me, and other classic songs such as Mozart, Beethoven etc...
the other 10% are whatever songs i like to listen to.

The best songs imo , this is just a masterpiece

I love Arab music too smile.gif and a big plus if combined with other genres. My mom was born in Sudan so i get exposure to middle eastern influenced music a lot too. I also wondered why there was no thread like this in "The Box," so I took liberty to create it. To anyone else checking out the thread lets keep this thread alive biggrin.gif

Call of Duty: World at War music is one of my favorite kinds to listen to. Sean Murray did a great job on the soundtrack. Here's just a few examples:

His music matched the atmosphere of World at War so good too. Definitely give these songs a listen.

This right here has to be the most beautiful rendition (and presentation) of the Russian national anthem I've ever heard. It actually made me tear up a little.

Armageddon is here..............

BF2142 theme is still the best........Newer games introduced stupid electrical dance music, and I hate that more than anything.

Currently I like the songs of Man in a Mission, a Japanese alternative rock band with a noticeable trait in which their members all wear wolf masks (much to my delight, for I like wolves), and I was quickly hooked up on them when listening to one of their songs.

Basically I listen to everything that is not classical or metal. After that it depends on mood, time and season of year. Right now my top-preferred musics are :
  • Those good trip-hop sounds from Bristol and derived : Tricky, Massive Attack, Morcheeba and Wax Taylor among others.
  • The goldies of Electro music from the 70's to today, chronologically : Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre, Africa Bambataa, Daft Punk, Justice, Emilie Simon, Gesaffelstein
  • My special New Wave collection for winter : Depeche Mode, The Cure and all their Eastern Europe counterparts : Sandra Cretu, Alphaville, A-Ha, Propaganda
  • My special South and Central-America collection for summer : Thalia (Mexican pop), Shakira (US-Colombian-Lebanese pop-rock), Don Omar (Puerto-Rican Reggaeton), Buena Vista Social Club (Cuban "son"), La 33 (Colombian pure salsa), Lisandro Mezà (good old colombian Cumbià), La Mano Negra and Manu Chao (Latino-french rock) And some Sargento Garcia for a synthesis of most of them.

I may link some samples here if this thread revives a little.

Well this is a good synthesis between Rammstein and Faithless.

To be honest I always disliked metal, perhaps because of this triton thingy that drives me mad and makes me feel like throwing my hi-fi out the window, or perhaps just because I like rythmic music rather than melodic one. Though I made my own way into that dark music through hip-hop fusion group Cypress Hill (and one of my friends who played in a death metal band was really glad when I made him know Cypress Hill, especially the Live at The Fillmore).

Actually when those musics tend to fuse with hip-hop (Limp Bizkit) or electro like this one, I must admit it sounds much better to my hear.
