Depends on how old you are and what kind of social system you live in. The long hiatus we've had a while back was due to the fact that we literally weren't working on the mod for an extensive period of time, not because the work we did took us that long. Those were extraordinary circumstances. When we do actually work on something at full steam, as we did with the new GLA, it doesn't take quite as long. For reference, consider this update from January as the starting point when we picked up development once again. In that time, we did a full revision and implementation of the GLA, implemented the navy, some additions for the US, Russia and China, made new maps and actually finished most of the remaining ECA structures.
