The Hosting Policy

What is required of a modification or total conversion before it will be hosted here at SWR Productions:

-A solid design plan, with accompanying documentation, showing what your modification or total conversion is intended to be like.

Details are always subject to change so in this case a draft does suffice.

-Members on the team who have a proven history. This can be anything from renders or a gallery that showcase the team members' work.

If the modification or total conversion does not have any of the above the following may be accepted as an alternative:

-A working beta that shows the mod to be in a playable or, at least, in a release worthy state. An alpha with untextured models does not suffice.

What a modification or total conversion should do after being hosted:

-Show steady progress. The latter encompasses all of the components necessary to project development: renders, in game screenshots, concept art and sound effects. Untextured models alone do not signify progression.

-Showing steady progress will prove that work is being done and this also allows for material to be used as a resource for media should mod development cease for a period of time.

-Failure to produce any work after 2 months without good cause will result in a notification querying your modification or total conversion's progress. If after 3 months your modification or total conversion still shows no progress and a suitable explanation is not offered the mod will then be marked as in-active and archived and removed if no actions are taken.

After the first release:

-The above mentioned rules will no longer apply as the hosted modification/total conversion team and its lead have proven competency to lead a project to release.

Release versions:

-It is the responsibility of the hostee to upload the release version of their mod/total conversion to an external host (such as ModDB or Gamefront) as we do not provide the bandwidth for large scale downloads.
