Question, if we get 4 players or more, will it be a team match for the finals? No, this tournament is a 1vs1 tournament. what's the format for it? bo3? double elim? The tournament will follow a basic tree pattern, with the winners from the prelims advancing to the semis, and victors of the semis will go into the final. The losers of the semis will also face off for 3rd and 4th. The matches will be single matches. i.e. if you win you go ahead, if you lose you lose There is no rematches etc, except for game bugs that stop the course of the game. Map for the tournament will most likely be Tournament Desert, just due to fairness for both sides and it is the map people commonly play on. Got lots of stuff to do, and I hate competitions. (yawn) -------------------- Hello, comrades.
Before I start, I must ask one question: how do you think battles are won? If you answered "It just take a lot of men", then I may suggest you to leave the academy. Why will I say that? It is because battles are not won just by simply shooting down your enemies: it also takes emotions to fight a battle. Hope, courage, pride, honor, love: these are the main emotions that it takes to win a battle. Yes, your equipment, your skills, and your genetics are very important, but it all boils down to one thing: Do you have the WILL to fight? Class is dismissed. WARNING: Watching this may result in losing your manliness. Yep: I'm a rusty sword. VERY rusty. :/ |

Done. Currently the game plan seems to be heading in prelims to a final 1vs1vs1 for the final. Need eight to balance it out.

Aight, I'll give it a try.
Be sure to lock down your rules and tournament setup very carefully. It does take quite a lot of organising. -------------------- |

I will play as well, though I will probably be down the first 5 minutes of the games, unless I get china...
I still like the origanal sidebar system as I can build while attacking and still observe the attack team. But the generals system I need to learn how to master, so I could win... |

Okay, we now have nine players, which means that we can begin to select the pairings for the Tournament.
I have decided to change the way the matches work, it is now a best two out of three. Also, because of the odd number of players, one person will have to play an extra match. Please make sure you've read the information page, and I will post the matchings post haste. PMing me your skill level makes it a lot easier to decide your matches, and mean you have a fairer opponent. This post has been edited by IonCharge: 23 May 2010, 11:09 -------------------- |
