The ECA arsenal will be relatively concentional ordnance-wise. It should also be noted that the USA will not have any Townes-style laser weapons aside from a few anti air and point defence lasers.

That's good news for me. I like this kinda use of laser more. IMO point defence and targeting lasers fit the US's style more than Towne's direct assault style laser does. US is about versatility, precision rather than brute force and this way the laser reflects that. Townes style laser wouldn't leave any difference between tesla and laser techs.

Ofc I was hoping the ECA would have an unique ordnance even if it sees very limited use just for the sake of uniqueness.

Sure, but that upg is actually comparable to the composite armour instead (and you can have composite armour and an avenger close to your tanks).

Now, let's say that the arena protection is not thaaat effective. Let's say that it counter 50% of the missiles shot at the target (like countermeassures). That might work.

Still, it would be a second upgrade with the purpose of increasing the survivability of your tanks and individual unit survivability is more of a USA feature in this mod. We're already doing our utmost to get the best out of the 128 upgrade limit.

Then how about getting rid off some upgrades that (probably) won't be missed? Like who would mind if you remove the Raptor ammo upgrade (the one that doubles the Raptor's payload from two to four) and make the Raptor start out with four missiles again and balance it out by slightly tweaking it's stats? Just saying.

BTW what is the exact unit limit of the game?

As far as I know, there is no unit limit but you can have no more than 128 different upgrades in the game.

Do the US vehicle drones count as units or do they count as upgrades?

A CoD fanboy-ish question - since the Delta Rangers, SEALs, Spetsnaz are gonna be in the mod, is there any chance the SAS would also be in it? And speaking of elite infantry - would any of the Chinese factions have the Mini-Gunners?

Thorn's special infantry is actually going to be called 'Green Beret' and the ECA will have some special forces of their own as well. Whether they're going to be based on the SAS is still up for debate, though. Also, no Minigunners but one Chinese general is going to have a unique variant of the Red Guard.

I'm not sure if the Golem tank will replace the Setinal Tank (I think this was said somewhere) for Aleksander but will it be buffed up from it's current version if it is going to replace the Setinal Tank? Also is the Havoc still going to be in the mod and will it still be the helicopter that replaces the Blackshark fir Aleksander?

I was going to ask that the other day but,....
The rail-t-90k was going to be a upgrade instead of a built tank... u can not take things said 2-plus years ago as law (so to speak) and the RotR team have said a lot of times, Nothing is set in stone.

USA
-Special Forces: Chessmasters, also commandos
-Air Force: Emphasis on quick attacks, also MOAR PLANES
-Tank: General Kwai with triple the common sense

China
-Red Army: Redshirt Swarm
-Secret Police: Buff and De-buff
-Special Weapons: Status Effects

Russia
-Secret Weapons: Playing Against Type, Townes' pen pal
-Rapid Deployment: ZERG RUSH KEKEKEKEKE
-Tactical Ballistics: TOPOL-M's, like those mobile superweapons in Contra/Remix, very pricey

GLA
-Terror Cell: Psych-Out, basically Prince Kassad in Contra/Remix
-Bio Command: AoE^DpS
-Warlord: Conventional, nothin' special

ECA
-Mechanized Assault: Panzerkrieg, Kwai with cool toys.
-Fire Support: "Close Combat? You'll won't even get there."

-Royal Guard: "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!"

Aleksander will indeed use the Golem instead of the Sentinel, reason being that it is essentially a lighter, less powerful unit that still fundamentally fills the same role. Think of it as his personal, more economical alternative to the ultra-expensive, lumbering beast that is the Sentinel. He's also going to get a special upgrade that will make his vehicles, including tanks, more effective against infantry. The Black Shark will actually become unique to Orlov (as well as the Hind, since he's very helicopter-focused) wheras the Havoc will be the new standard attack helicopter for all Russian factions.

Such an ability is still mentioned in the documents. We may add it sometime in the future.
