Hello there,
as it is my first post I would like to say hello to everyone. And straight forward I am hitting with the issue I dloaded and installed ROTR (path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour), then I wanted to play, so I started launcher (it works fine), then "LAUNCH". Ok, now I have the dialog with choice between Generals and ZH. Whatever I chose, it starts with normal (not modded) CC... I do not know, whether I installed it in right path (as I read some threads - it is correct)... Can someone help me? OK, stupid me - path is wrong, it should be installed in Zero hour folder.... Sorry! I have one more problem, not connected with ROTR, but With ZH (not modded). I tried to play it w/o mods just to refresh my skills, but playing on big maps is rather hard - not because of hard enemies, but with "serious error". Moreover, sometimes happens something like this: When I have quite a big army, the units are bugged, and they do not move. When I right click place to move or unit to attack, they go for a while (2-3 seconds), then stop... It might be connected with "serious problem" as the game often crashes after few minutes from the point I notice bugged units... Maybe someone noticed this bug and solved it somehow? Please answer me, I would be very grateful This post has been edited by Kanc1erz: 15 Aug 2016, 0:38 |

Thats the games engine. The SAGE engine wasnt designed to have that many units in the game and what you're experiencing is the games engine just giving up and not being able to cope with the load.
Legally we arent allowed to change/adjust this so there is nothing we can do. If i were you i would just play on smaller maps, or vs weaker ai, or just go play pvp. -------------------- Many thanks to IvanMRM for my avatar and Star for drawing my epic signature. You guys rock! However it has never crashed and units've never bugged when I played on Phenom 2 955 or even Sempron 2500+ (2.1GHz). And now, on i5-4670k it's worse than ever... |

Hehe, ok.... Origin version sucks... I found my old Deluxe, Polish version (4CDs), installed, played few matches 8 brutal armies and, simply, works fine, wothout slow-downs, without crashes, without bugged units. Take care!

Hello!
I have exactly the same problem as you described. But I installed the RotR correctly into the Zero Folder of my Generals installation. (as you can see at my uploaded picture) Please can you give me an advice what can I do in order to fix the problem? Kind regards in advance, Christian
