Hi Guys.
I want to remod SW for myself [personnel mod] and not for public release by adding in some more units and my custom sounds and particle effects but there is no BIG.file. Is there anyway that I can do this ? Thanks This post has been edited by adamstrange: 22 Aug 2009, 2:11 |

I believe when this was asked before the team said you may edit it, but not re-release it. As per the installation agreement.

Create big with shit in it, rename it gib add a command similar to the others in the XML file. keep backups just incase
however, some files such as weapons.INI are encripted. This post has been edited by Pink_Supervisor: 22 Aug 2009, 2:39 |

Here's 1 thing...Rename 0SW95.gib to 0SW95.big.
Can people at least show the modified shw version through pictures and stuff?(but not releasing) -------------------- |

I think Pink is confusing editing C&C3 with Generals. All you need to do is rename the .gib file to .big and back again when you done. And keep backups I mod my shockwave all the time.

Who would edit a in .big file itself? Editing in a .big file is uncomfortable Tell Stinger that i'v been trying to convince him in that since he started helping out -------------------- |

Silence! I use a combination of both.
It's just that I really can't be bothered adding the .inis to the .big. Being able to make changes on the fly suits me. -------------------- |

I do not understand your reasoning, however I do not question your opinion either. I prefer the .ini files in the free folder.

Do you think i add the files into a big file everytime i make one minor change ? You can just plump them into your folder and just navigate through the files in a zippy and edit them "on the fly" -------------------- |
