Playing GLA, use promotion to purchase GPS scrambler, but no button/icon shows up on right side of screen (like it does in SW), so I'm unable (so far) to deploy the scrambler.
Is this a bug (ie, no button/icon for activating GPS scrambler) or has the functionality been moved elsewhere (and I'm just not bright enough to figure out *where* it's been moved)? Thanks. |

It's not a bug, the GPS Scrambler is an upgrade for the Observation Van that hides the van and all vehicles around it. It doesn't seem to work on infantry though.

Infantry have a "Camoflouge" upgrade available at the black market. Use that for infantry.

Either that or you build a GPS station. It has a bigger radius than the van but can't move (duh).

I know the camo upgrade, but it doesn't work on workers or moving hijackers.

Those are intentional. It would be very OP if it was otherwise. Could you imagine me sneaking a few hijackers into your base with an observation van and stealing your army before it is even deployed?
Or doing the same, only with workers and tunnel networks? This post has been edited by Generalcamo: 17 Jun 2012, 4:11 |

That's exactly what I tried yesterday, and then I learned the hard way that it's impossible^^ I guess next time I have to spend an extra point for the battle bus and drive the Hijackers to the enemy base...

GLA rebel, RPG, hijacker already have stealth module code with them. I think GPS scrambler won't override that.

That actually happened which is why it was made incomptaible with infantry in the first place.
