I'm trying to install Windows XP (I know, it's old wink.gif ) but it says 'Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter'. I know that there are more topics of this on the WWW but they are all talking about second HD's etc. I disabled the boot for the HDD and so the dvd-drive comes first, the HDD is primary master and the dvd-drive that I use is secondary slave. Does anyone know what can help? Btw, the HDD is empty.

Seems your BIOS has some bad configuration. Make sure you've set storage as IDE and not RAID or AHCI to install stuff at first. Also don't remove the HDD, just move its priority down. You can even flash a new BIOS but only as a last resort I'd say.
