Okay, please vote for the helicopter you think the best.
Please give details why you prefer your choice. Personally, I favour Kamovs and Hinds. Since Kamov is very agile and powerful enough against armour I use them in open field far from enemy base and HAA.  And Hinds have the power and versatility (attack/transport) so I prefer them when attacking enemy base and performing air drop.

It's a very difficult choice. I would go with the Han gunship. It's good balance between speed, cost, firepower and defense. Has unique looks and weaponry. Gets the job done while looking like nothing else on the battlefield.
Um... Helix, Havoc, Tiger shouldn't be on the the poll as they ain't in-game yet. Ofc it would be funny if the Tiger still wins which it just might.

As a ground attack craft the Hind shines with it's 'Macross Missile Massacre' rocket barrage, but to be used just as a ground attack craft is a waste of the 2000+ credits it takes to build one.
The Han certainly has it's selling points, having multiple options as far as weapons systems go but it lacks a certain finesse. The Gazelle... well... It's cannon fodder... Nuff said... Thought I don't use it as often as I used to, the Comanche is my primary tank killer. I don't use them alone but in packs with Cobras. The Cobras mainly saw through infantry, light armor, and other helos, particularly Hinds and Gazelles, while the Comanches tear through heavy armor. Occasionally I'll order the Cobras to wipe out massed enemies, particularly Quad Cannons and Gatling Tanks. Any who, the Comanche is really a middle of the road helicopter gunship with good armor, excellent anti-armor punch, and decent survivability. And sometimes Jarmen Kell's Stinger goes wide and gets tricked by countermeasures... Just sayin'... --------------------  "I went to Afghanistan and all I got was Shrapnel!" -Anonymous |

Definitely the Han gunship, especially in 1.72 cause it *static* it's *static* *static* now makes it a whole lot more fun to use

. . . definitely Euro Tiger,I simply love when I send them altogether with number of Leo's through enemy base,
while artillery is set to auto-fire and it is pummeling their defenses and WF entrances . . . Common people,Tiger,Havoc and Helix ? Are we speaking about best performing or best looking heli ? How I can know how this 3 or 4 will perform ? Anyway,my vote goes for Han,it is tearing tanks apart,and it can be upgraded with nukes, Kamov is also very good,it is second after Han in my list. |

Forgot to mention the osprey, Can't really beat it at resource collection, especially since it's a aircaft compared to trucks and people.

I go for Kamov , his rockets are better than Comaches ones and Hind is like Comaches rocket barrage so is kinda useless(and slow) , KA-50 can fire while mving and can fly backwards

In terms of the effect it has on the outcome of the game, it would have to be the Cobra. Nothing else comes close to the influence it has on a game.

Initially I wanted to rename this poll as Best Combat Helicopter but then realized that non-combat vehicles also play important role in gameplay, so decided to use all helis. As for Euro Tiger, no one (except devs may be) played them, but one has to have a right to vote for them for their look at least.
 I actually, dump my Hind choice given its 2000+ price tag. So, yeah! Kamov come to daddy!  P.S. Never thought that Han gunships will get that many votes. Have to admit that I like their performance and versatility. This post has been edited by blgmgl: 25 Sep 2012, 10:04 |

The black hawk rocks. I empty some of the rangers and load with seals pathfinders and rocket soldiers. Ideal for a back door attack, providedAA cover is suppressed. Usually fly them in with raptor cover as the AA targets fighters over choppers

My vote goes to Han because of its versatility and vast arsenal at the disposal, he is a true predator of ground units.
 The Hind is not far behind the Han he is a multifunctional armored helicopter loaded with heavy weapons the problem is the cost of flying monster. I love helicopters and they will always be part of my strategies.
