More accurately I'd like to know how to add a General's Challenge and a new boss general.
Any pointers would be much appericated

really simple to add Boss gen go to Where all the generals are and find something called i belive it is "Isplayableside = yes(or No)"

Well where's that and how do I add a general in the first place.

You need to create a new campain for him, then change/add his bios in the file where the generals pictures are defined (do not have it now, will look into it later), and that should do it. In case it is a completely new General, you also have to change the GC_ maps.
