What a great mod guys! congrats!
I'm running it on an ASUS Crosshair, Athlon X2 6400+, 3Gb RAM, geforce 9500gt (quite old I know) running Win10 x32, it works perfectly!
But from time to time the game completely freezes and I hear the sound looping, while minutes run the loop seems to be moving forward little by little (I mean, the audio advances a little bit but keeps looping frozen) while the game freezes completely.
I've unchecked Window's indexing feature on game folder, I've changed documents/C&C.../replays folder's permission to read only (no replays but less lag) but the sound problem is driving me crazy.

What could I try?

[EDIT]

I've read somewhere that there's an option called "High Quality Audio" that can be disabled... Can't find it yet, even inside de INI's...

Is that so?

Aut vincere aut mori, Cave quid dicis, quando, et cui, De duobus malis, minus est semper eligendum.

sound loops are generally an engine issue, something that can't be fixed, we all get them at times.

It probably means your hardware is not up to the task.

My old PC did this whenever it reached its "limit". Once I got a new PC, this stopped happening.

If you haven't already, try running the game in the lowest setting (custom setting with everything turned off except "disable dynamic level of detail", the sliders at the lowest setting, and 800x600 resolution) and see if the game works then.

u Think so? I've played games like Battlefield 3 on this rig perfectly... (of course, ultra low settings... have mercy on us the poor 3rd world gamers)

Tried lowest graphics settings and lower resolution... but I notice no performance improvement... The game runs smooth as before except for when there's a lot of units moving... looks like it hogs the processor (3Ghz should do huh?)

I'm starting to think the engine was poorly programmed... lots of performance improvements are missing.

One does not simply suggest ideas to SWR.

That's exactly the problem. SAGE engine is really poorly optimised, you can have super-high end setups and it STILL has rather lowish framerates.
