Bombing enemy into the stone age since 2015

So today i found trailer for WiC in my recommended videos.
I played this game from its release day in 2007... it was 9 years since then.... Still the best RTS out there for me with perfect soundtrack. Damn, so much memories....
I am wondering who else likes this game(or remembers) on this forum. I am surprised this topic does not exist already.

P.S You can replace game name in this trailer with ROTR and it still would be perfect match.

I actually have reinstalled it recently, just to play through the campaign again. It's an amazing game, and still looks pretty decent for an RTS.

In-game cutscenes are entirely made on game engine without anything else, and they still look awesome. Also if you zoom in closely you can hear units talking to each other. This game is like Company of heroes, but with much bigger scale. Except Relic is still alive, and massive entertainment is not.
Just so many little things make this game so good.

Massive are still around, most recently they worked on Tom Clancy's The Division. The "good" news is that Rebellion have the IP of Ground Control now, and word on the streets has it that they plan to do something with that IP. So, we might not see another WiC for a while, but perhaps a Ground Control 3, which would be amazing.

Armageddon is here..............

It's one of the best game I've ever played. I remembered spending hours and hours calling in tactical aids to blow stuffs up all across the map.

That game was fantastic!
I call it jokingly the killstreak-simulator, because in an intense multiplayer game it was often not about the 5 units that you controlled but about all the aids that you and everybody else unleashed constantly.

I would like to see a sequel some time in the future.

Heh, I loved that game when I got it... So many good memories.

I used to get excited when I got the nuke, wasn't as devastating as I thought... biggrin.gif
A sequel would be nice too as Basilisx said, although I would still buy a prequel...

I still remember that Geiger counter beeping. And carpet bombing visuals...
Ah, the memories...
