is there anyway to add NPCs to maps that are hostile to all players(including AI)?

with NPC(non-player character) I mean, a faction specifically designed to guard points on specific maps from both player\AI factions, such as resource points.

Try making a new player (change the names, cant be skirmish or it will crash or wont work)... Assign the units/obecjets to that player, and change how that player regards other players to enemy (except plyrcivilian).

Check the is "player computer box", so it can be controlled by the AI... And u dont need scripts to change the relations, that is done inside the first image.

I am not even sure if it works good enough to be used as a normal skirmish map.

Try to see if the skirmish AI attacks them... If it does, then you need to add the human players aswell "player0", "player1" up to "player7" and make them enemies to the player0001, or whatever the NPC player name is...

If the AI doesnt attack them, dont even bother to add the players

its a 1v1 map thou, would addin 2 to 7 even affect it :v

Also, it doent attack me nor the AI, and its neutral to me and to the AI.

The 2 to 7 has to do with the other slots from the skirmish menu... If the second player is at slot 8 for example, it wouldnt respond by player1, but by player7.

Anyway, might not be possible withouth adding a 3rd player just for the NPC.

Those settings get overridden by the team system in game, that's why it doesn't work like that. You can refer to any human / AI by using "playerx" where x can be from 0 to 7.

The only method is the following for the 1v1 pvp map example:

"player0" and "player1" will refer to the human players and you need to have an AI on a 3rd slot which will be referred as "player2". You don't want any of the players to destroy the AIs Command Center, thus eliminating all the rouge NPCs you want to have so you'll use your head and place the 3rd slot outside the map. But then how will the game end? You'll need to use scripts to do that. Pick a faction folder where you'll place them. This faction has to be set for the AI in game for them to work.

Then set the teams respectively so everyone is an enemy to everyone. Leaving them all on "none" might not work since players cannot be neutral to players, but AIs can.

This is only a theory of mine since I did not do this yet, but I did similar things tongue.gif

Yeah, that way it would certanly work...But, I was tryin to see if it was possible to set that thru script alone
