According to one of the team user signatures, there will be Cobra in the mod, or will there be one?
IDK, but considering it's in a signature that can be seen by everyone, I personally think it's just a confirmation question rather than a fishing question. |

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but Will we be seeing the updated units in Shockwave/Generals Classic as well?

The ECA aren't going to be available in the next version, which is 1.5. This new version will introduce a whole host of new gameplay, model improvements and other *stuff*, however. Wut? D: I was under the impression that ECA would be in 1.5 -------------------- |

Yes Sorry if this has already been addressed, but Will we be seeing the updated units in Shockwave/Generals Classic as well? Lot's of the new updated models in ROTR have been transferred over to ShW, which is why you'll see the Raptor being new in both but have different textures to make them unique. Another great example of this would be the new Nuke cannon, which was shown in Shockwave first but was implemented in ROTR previously before it. Wut? D: I was under the impression that ECA would be in 1.5 i remember seeing somthing that said 1.5 would have all the vanilla factions at the least but watevr they have planned picky should be good Yes a while back we were anticipating to have our 1.5 version to include all vanilla factions, this was a hasty decision and it ended up not being so. However you will see the vanilla ECA and GLA before 2.0. Pretty much means that when 1.5 is out we still have 5 other internal versions that will lead to 2.0 - one of them being a public release and the predecessor for 2.0 that will include the vanilla factions. As you know, 2.0 will include all of them minus the default factions. The 2.0 generals will pretty much organize the units that you have seen around these versions and will be moved to each corresponding general and will completely abolish the 'vanilla' factions, thus giving you the unique general system we've devised for the final version of Rise of the Reds. Hope this clears things up for you, but I can assure you, it's just around the corner. No, I'm not saying that they shouldn't home. I meant that the RPGs seems to..."arc" and home into the ground when they fire at people/things they miss.

So close that you can smell it Oh right I see :/ Was really looking forward to playing with the ECA, bit of an anti-climax. Hopefully it won't take you guys too long to get there though So to clear up, 1.5 won't contain ECA or GLA at all? And just some additions/improvements to the three current sides? Tbh I thought the big hype about 1.5 was because it contained the other factions, either way it'll still be good ^.^ Thanks for clearing that up Comr4de -------------------- |

Well what should they do, crash right into the infantry unit, would seem a little awkward if they do little to no damage at all. -------------------- |

Will it be general specific?
It looks like a cross between the Little Bird and Commanche -------------------- |

I don't understand why people like the cobra so much, can someone explain how it's any different than the Comanche? (as I understand it, it was suggested a lot for Shockwave)
unless.... that's airborne Anti-Air Artillery? |

(as I understand it, it was suggested a lot for Shockwave) unless.... that's airborne Anti-Air Artillery? There is a quite a large difference between the commanche and the cobra. you see the cobra gunship was basicaly what kick started the helicopter gunship back in the War in Vietnam its mainly used by the marines today though and the commanche is a high end helicopter gunship think of the raptor but with a tail rotor and blades plus the commanche project was cancelled just a while ago. Jb you can go ahead and correct me if i havent hit the nail on the head. This post has been edited by Jester: 18 Jun 2009, 21:27 |

The AH-1Z Super Cobra (or Viper, as it's apparently now known as, according to Wikipedia) will probably replace the Little Bird or Comanche for some general.

That Cobra looks great. My guess, it will probably replace the little bird ( or at least i hope so, cause the LB is just to damn ugly and old ). In the 2.0 version, it will either be the std gunship of usa factions with the commanche as an AirF subdivision only gunship, or will be a more special gunship available only for AirF. Not fishing, just telling my guess.
Edit - the aircraft carrier in that sig also has alot of F-18s . Will it be a buildable plane or a special power plane, similar to the F18 strike in shockwave ? This post has been edited by Anubis: 19 Jun 2009, 2:45 |
