In Red Alert 2, heroic units are resistant to mind control. However, in ZH, C&C3 and RA3, no living thing is protected against mind control and pilot sniping. Is it possible to make a heroic unit neutron/nerve gas proof by tampering with ZH's scripts?

There's no mind control in any of these games, what you are refering to is pilot-kill. And while it is possible to do it, these things are too situational to implement that kind of bonus, especially since it overrides other possibilities which are much more important.

There is temporary control in C&C3 (Mastermind) and RA3 (Yuriko). Also, pilot killing protection is a countermeasure for Heroic Vehicles against buffed Hijackers too. -------------------- And then...

In C&C 3 you had the Mastermind/Prodigy and Cultists which could mind control a unit until they were killed.
The only unit's that couldn't be controlled were Epic units and Commandos. But I don't really see the need to give heroic units resistance to pilot killing and the like. Heroic units are so common that it doesn't really matter if you get one and lose it, because chances are you have a few more. -------------------- Composite Armor has been installed, sir.

Ok I forgot about the Mastermind kin. Yuriko still doesn't have it though.

In Red Alert 2, heroic units are resistant to mind control. Ummm... nope. There's no such veteranability as ImmuneToPsionics, iow experience and promotions never made a unit mindcontrol-resistant. There are units which started being immune out of the box tho, and such applies to ROTR as well, like Dozers etc. -------------------- AS Discord server: https://discord.gg/7aM7Hm2 | SWR Community Discord https://discord.gg/REcbv37 QUOTE ComradeCrimson: AS is the product of Hungarian acid ComradeCrimson: And magical hussars Dutchygamer: and Weird Al. Becoming nerve gas proof is already a hard thing to do without completely being suited up in an NBC outfit, but how would one become Neutron proof? You'd still die to the explosion, even if you are the likes of Boris or Burton

As it so happens, liquids are actually a good protection against neutrons. This is one of the reasons why Russian tanks have fuel barrels mounted on the sides (doors) and backs, they can protect the crew from some radiation alongside the more obvious use of having more reserve fuel.

Pretty sure it's just because they're trying to squeeze the tank down as small as possible without thinking about how bad the idea of having a ring-shaped fuel tank/ammo rack surrounding one's turret would be for the guys inside. -------------------- |

I'd say I'd love to have this implemented for Hero-ranked vehicle crews against Hijackers. Partially because Hijacker, when effortlessly killing that Heroic overlord/sentinel/kodiak/any other vehicle here crew, also takes over all their accumulated combat experience. that's just weird. Or the closest thing we have to Yuri's mind games in this game. Unfortunately, impossible, yeah. This post has been edited by Knjaz.: 21 Jan 2015, 10:12 |

Was a bit surprised to find out it wasn't like that ingame. -------------------- |

The manual also mentioned that if a MiG strike attacks and while still on the way back you research Black Napalm, the MiGs can directly go for another attack. This is generally considered a bug now.

They take the fuel tanks off before entering combat. No-one, idiot or not, leaves ammo in an ammo rack when in combat. -------------------- Your feeling of helplessness is your best friend, savage.

It's probably an unfixable bug, because the old weapon type is replaced by the upgraded one. -------------------- And then...
