SWR Productions Forum _ China Strategies _ Vanilla China Tactics

Posted by: EIGHTYTWO 5 Jan 2014, 13:35

So here I go with my Vanilla China Tactics which I find to be very effective.

1) Build two Dozers and immediately build a War Factory and an Airfield.

2) Build three Tiger Gunships. Tigers are anti-air, anti-armour, anti-building and anti-infantry. Micro the Launch Grenade Ability to take out Dozers and Tech Structures of the Enemy. Doing this quickly will deal a huge blow to the enemy.

3) Make Three Gattling Tanks and take out Aerial Supply Vehicles. Use Listening Outposts to Scout an area and also to prevent aircraft from running away. With Three Listening Outposts an area can easily become a no fly zone for jets.

4) Build a Propaganda Center, Internet Center and another War Factory. Fill the Internet Center with Hackers and buy the Satellite Scan upgrade to reveal enemy Command Centers.

5) With one War Factory, Use this Build Order- Battlemaster - Gattling Tank - ECM Tank - Listening Post - Battlemaster. With The second War Factory spam Hack Vans and put them in safe places. This gives you a very good secondary economy.

6) Research Mass Production and Autoloaders. Use Propaganda Trucks from Propaganda Center to heal your forces. From here on spam this Build Order from both War factories- Battlemaster - Gattling Tank - ECM Tank - Listening Post - Battlemaster. With Horde Bonus and Propaganda Effect, your Forces become invincible.

7) Make four Mig Bombers and use their EMP Ability to shut down defenses before attacking with your forces. Use Tigers to add firepower to your forces. Use Ctrl+ Number 1,2,etc to group your forces.

8) Your Chinese Attack Force should consist of Battlemasters, Gattling Tanks, ECM Tanks, Listening Outposts (for stealth detection), Tiger Gunships and Propoganda Trucks.

9) Using Overlords is not advised considering they are slow and the Nuclear Engines Upgrade (which make Overlords fast) is Available at the Nuclear Missile which is not allowed as it is a Superweapon in Multiplayer Matches.

10) Use Dragon Tanks to harass the enemy Early Game. Avoid using Dragon Tanks late game to avoid Friendly fire.

11) Use Inferno and Nuke cannons to outrange the enemy. Not necessary considering Battlemaster Spam is greater than an Artillery Strike. Use 3 Inferno Cannons to create Fire Storms and block off Choke Points for your enemy.

12) Purchase the Mine Upgrade for all your buildings to make stealth ambushes futile.

That's it. Thoughts Everyone. smile.gif

Has a horrible lack of AT Inferno spam. 10 battlemasters with 4 Infernos are a lot more effective than 20 battlemasters. The AT shells are incredible, and you can always keep making your Firestorms in between.

As Arty is Chinas Meta unless your going to go helix/Infantry bunker action then I advise you to get the Arty training upgrade wich makes them survive most interceptor strikes with a tiny margin of HP

Well in my opinion, Battlemasters with the Autoloaders would basically destroy everything and if you ask me a Firestorm is far better than Anti-tank Shells.

You can't have multiple firestorms and Battlemaster w/ Autoloader, while very strong, still appreciates the incredible fire support from AT shells, which fire rapidly and destroy targets at very long ranges. Rocket Buggies suddenly become laughable, who otherwise tear Battlemaster battalions apart.

I'd say you should try it and give it another chance before turning it down, because AT Shell Inferno Cannon is one of the best support units in the game.

Well now that you say it, I really can't decide which is better- Inferno or At Shells. morever about the Rocket Buggy part, you can use ECM Tanks as your front to deflect the missiles. Also Tiger Gunships may take them out pretty quickly.

As for the AT Shells, I would appreciate it if you can show a replay showcasing the proper use of them. smile.gif

I don't have one handy but I will try to get one.

ECM Tanks are only temporary however, and when you have a mass of units it really isn't all that beneficial

Edit: I think it is safe to say that Inferno Cannon is China's best counter to Rocket Buggies when AA is around. Inferno Cannon already fires fast and it has wonderful speed so it can kite main battle tanks. The shells are very deadly when focus firing, and Propaganda just speeds the entire thing up. However you don't have to take my word for it, try it yourself and I'll try to get a replay.

Here you go, I used the Inferno Cannon quite often, but not as often as I would like to as the game was rather... unique. I tried to provoke a frontal assault by building a Nuclear Missile to show you it is also good at defense with the AT shells, especially when under propaganda, but sadly it never happened and the guy decided to destroy my partner's base instead of grinding all his forces at my defense. gun8.gif

Worth noting is that those are the same four Inferno Cannons that I have built, surviving the entire game.

Thanks for the replay. smile.gif

I guess AT shells are powerful after all.

For reference, 5 of them pop open the roof of a Mantis Tank like an elephant crushing a soda can, and their fire rate is just incredible, getting only better and better with Propaganda on. And you just have to crosstech with USA to see what Search and Destroy can do to these monsters. 8llaniflip.gif

I agree. I tried the AT shells out in a skirmish match - they were amazing. It was all that was needed to hold Ironside in his base. That wasn't even including the strategy center... If it was, I think Ironside wouldn't be able to even scratch my inferno cannons.
