I apologise for deviating from the discussion of the Generals, but am I correct in thinking the health and speed of the Nukeneer will be roughly the same as the mortar troops in Shockwave?

And one more - the lore description describes it as a mortar, but it's firing a rocket, so does that mean it will be able to be nullified by Paladin/Avenger lasers?

It's a mortar in all regards even tho the davy crocket was originaly a rocket based weapon.

So no it cannot be jammed or zapped by lasers.

I hated the Chinese Mortars in SW, due to their necessitation of me actually leaving my base. Thats what I like about that and this mod.

On another note, can we expect pyro-vision now? awbot.gif

Is the SWR team going back to the weekly updates in anticipation of the 7.2 release? Also, Why doesn't the inferno cannon de-garrison a building like the dragon tank, or was that deem overpowered for a artillery piece?

That's probably why, no unit except the Russian Tier 1 arty can clear buildings at range.

It's probably a simple balance rule since vanilla generals that units that out-range typical garrisons can't clear garrisons.

Right. The Inferno Cannon may be a napalm weapon but it doesn't clear garrisons due to the simple fact that a garrison-cleaner with such range at Tier-1 would be unfair.
The Buratino, while also a Tier-1 artillery unit, has shorter range than other artillery units and its projectiles are also visible enough to give the opposition some time to evacuate the structure.

Infernos can clear garrison in a way...Use 3-4 on a garrisoned building and the nalpam shells will make firestorm that will eventually destroy the building or burn the infantry if player gets them out(kinda stupid biggrin.gif ).

That is a bit overkill, though it does work for area denial. I'd rather clear the building so I can use it for my own purposes.

Okay late question is late but there was some talk on this topic in FB a few days ago - which voices are you using for the Pyro and Nukeneer? The same ShW Pyro and Siege Soldier voices or something else?

They've had Japanese voices for Chinese unit since 1.5. Han uses clips from RA3 Empire Striker VXs (or w/e those ostrich mecha/helis are called). rolleyes.gif
