I'm stuck on a seemingly endless loop now facing Townes lol. This is the 4th time I'll be facing the laser gen in a row with Juhziz and I've already beaten him 3 times now on medium difficulty in a row but it seems it's just looping on his challenge. Anyone else experience this or know of a fix?
EDIT: Found a fix It looped because the next challenge was set to mission 6 again lol so changing it to 7 will solve the problem This post has been edited by Radioactive Psycho: 2 Aug 2013, 15:57 |

Thank you very much. This has been bugging me for a long, long, long time.
In case anyone viewing this topic has been as ignorant as me, a quick google for 'FinalBIG' will get you a CnC Generals editing utility. Download it, run it, tell it to open. You'll have to navigate to where you installed CnC Shockwave in (C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour for me), then tell it to open all files. You want to open the file "!Shw_challenge.gib" and then go to the selection "Data\INI\ChallengeMode.ini" on the left. Then, scroll down through the list on the right until you see "Campaign CHALLENGE_8;Juhziz" which will be the Demo General's campaign. From there, scroll down until you see Townes's entry, edit that pesky NextMission entry to go to mission 7, and that'll be that. Sorry if this all seems unnecessary, just wanted to chip in some of the info here. |

Thank you very much, to make it brief, I will list it as follows:
- Download the FinalBIG software, I use 040 version in attachment - Extract zip files, run FinalBIG.EXE - Open (Ctr+O), go to directory you install the game (usually "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour"), change "Files of type:" into "All files (*.*)", chose "!Shw_challenge.gib", click open - Choose "Data\INI\Campaign.ini\", Edit with Editor (Ctr+E), Notepad will appear (with bunch of data) - Find for this: Campaign CHALLENGE_8 ;Juhziz CampaignNameLabel CAMPAIGN:CHALLENGE_8 FirstMission Mission01 IsChallengeCampaign yes then: Mission Mission06 Map Maps\GC_LaserGeneral\GC_LaserGeneral.map GeneralName GUI:BioNameEntry_Pos5 IntroMovie GeneralsChallengeBackground NextMission Mission06 - Change "NextMission Mission06" into "NextMission Mission07", Save and Close the Notepad - Choose again "Data\INI\Campaign.ini\" on the right box, see in the left box: Campaign CHALLENGE_8 ;Juhziz CampaignNameLabel CAMPAIGN:CHALLENGE_8 FirstMission Mission01 IsChallengeCampaign yes ... (scroll-down) Mission Mission06 Map Maps\GC_LaserGeneral\GC_LaserGeneral.map GeneralName GUI:BioNameEntry_Pos5 IntroMovie GeneralsChallengeBackground NextMission Mission07 If it changed already, than it worked. If not, use the editor again (Ctr+E) - Save (Ctr+S), and close FileBIG.EXE

Hi guys,
I changed my config so that: 1. Tao(Nuke) and Juhziz(Demo) campaigns actually finish. 2. All generals have NINE challenges, which means that Granger(USAF) too faces Leang(ChinaBoss), and all the generals that have a challenge map (i.e. all but Armor and Infantry) face themselves as final challenge (just for fun). Encountering themselves does not cause any problems, as a sample test I just finished the whole Townes(Laser) campaign without problems. If you like this idea, you find all my challenge entries from the Campaign.ini, in !Shw_challenge, in the attachment. NOTE: this is not the whole "Data\INI\Campaign.ini" file, but only all the "Campaign CHALLENGE_" sections from that file, thus replace all of those sections.
