So yeah, uhm...Did anyone notice this yet? Sure, there's always a lot of room for fakes when it comes to cryptic pre-teasers of alleged Call Of Duty games, but knowing Activision and how they are churning out these games like there's no tomorrow, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to beat their own sales record again by releasing another COD later this year. Can't see that much potential in a prequel based around Ghost as some of the rumours suggest, though. For some reason, I liked Call Of Duty a lot more back when it wasn't all about Michael Bay style stunt sequences built around one-dimensional macho special ops badasses. Characterisation in the old games may have been even more basic than it is today, but for some reason, the atmosphere in the old instalments was a lot more intense, partly because the player character wasn't one of these macho special ops badasses, but just an Average Joe that got dragged into war, a small, insignificant cogwheel in the machinery of war, that was, at the end of the day, completely and utterly expendable.

A good campaign is great but multiplayer is where CoD shines. I just wish they don't cater too much to the noobs by removing all recoil and idling again, and adding damageviewkick among many others.

Or adding even more strawberry jam to the damage screen. Seriously, who thought this'd be a good idea!? New rumours According to these, the conflict may take on a much larger scale with bigger levels and destructible environments. |

This is not even being looked at by me ever since modern failfare 2 i refuse to buy any COD game at all after that pile of crap. i have moved on to MOH and BFBC2 it lacks the prone feature but i can look past that for the time being and im patiently waiting for BF3 to destroy the COD franchise. Not that i hate COD4 i still play that from time to time as it is the most enjoyable COD by far

Black Ops was a horrible excuse for a game. It has an extremely weak campaign and a multiplayer part designed by one of the biggest morons on the planet, and boy does it show.
Or adding even more strawberry jam to the damage screen. Seriously, who thought this'd be a good idea!? Yes, the strawberry jam screen and damage disorientation have been a big part of my complains from the start on. I agree heavily there. QUOTE New rumours No bigger levels, no destructible environments please. All attempts to cater to battlefield players, who, excuse me, should stay the fuck away from my precious CoD games with their grubby little realism claws. According to these, the conflict may take on a much larger scale with bigger levels and destructible environments. -------------------- TN

Confirmed:
Modern Warfare 3 will have a new killstreak available after the nuke. It fries the PCs of the enemy team instantly and blows up their monitors. -------------------- |

Bored of Warfare.
I played Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare single player (which was the best of the lot). That was enough. I didn't need Black Ops. I don't need any more of the same. Only "realistic" modern FPS that I have my eye on at the moment is Battlefield 3, and I'm mostly seeing watching how that will turn out after the first few months before even buying it. Why can't they make something that's set in an era that is not "The Future", "Present Day", or "World War II"? To tell you the truth, I'm a bit turned off on a lot of games right now, so I'm doing a bit of catch-up on the PS2 and trying out some New Vegas mods. I might consider picking up Retribution in the near future. This post has been edited by Alceister: 13 May 2011, 9:51 |

Console gaming and MMOS is where I only get fun these days.
I haven't used a controller this much since 1998. I still only use PCs for its more exclusive genres though. -------------------- |

Massive alleged info leak Spoilers, obviously
Cliff notes version: - Locations include India, New York (which has barely even recovered from the events of Crysis 2, geez!), Africa, London, Paris, the Czech Republic, Moscow, Washington, Dubai and Germany (Chew on THAT, videogame-hating German conservatives!) - Characters include Soap, Price, Makarov, a bloke called Yuri, a Delta Force team, a tank gunner, an AC130 gunner, Makarovs assistant, the Russian president and his daughter (Huh? Womanfolk in a CoD game? Preposterous! [/joking]) - Makarov will try to escalate the war even further by sabotaging a peace conference, kidnapping the Russian president and releasing chemical weapons all over Europe (who knows, maybe it's Nova-6 and they'll try to tie it all together with Black Ops?) - Weapons include what seems to be a PSG1, a synthetic-looking Czech Skorpion SMG, solid-stock MP5 with foregrip, a horrible tacticool M1887 shotgun, an even more horrible, more tacticool AK, G-36, and some others Say what you will about their business model, but if this turns out to be true, they're certainly doing their best to kick the Holy Shit Quotient to unprecedented levels. And what the hell is this? A friggin' T34 tank? So the Russians don't just use two kinds of tacticool Frankenstein-AK47s, but also tanks from the Second World War? Why not go even further and have it so that Makarov eventually turns out to be STALIN!? |

Man, trailer looks and feels quite epic, but ... idk, it looks pretty much like a catastrophe/Die Hard type movie than a game. So, yeah, MW3 is written by Michael Bay to me. So i would jump it...

lol i was thinking the same thing "it seems really epic but strangely familiar..."
makes me wish the days when RA was one of the top rts would come back, 3 wasnt that bad imo but couldve been better idk tbh it seems to look better than mw2 but ill guess ill have to wait and see, cod4 was really fun and reminded me of the days of cod2 but mw2 was so disappoint and generic i ended up selling it >.> and black ops still makes me question why its sold the most aside from the cool timeline they used it was really bad. if i want cold war ill go back to MGS3 xD |

Hate to interrupt all the belly aching about CoD but I have really enjoyed MW2 and look forward to MW3. I've not got into CoD much before because of it being in the past, but present/future gets my attention.
I also think zombies is a boring and pointless concept, why make a game mode you can't actually best? -------------------- |
