I don't see how is that related to ROTR at all. Tho I'd say showers usually have damned bad acoustics.

It's pretty common, I got many recording/practice sessions interrupted by my parents already, once my father came in telling "wtf am I doing" and practically saying that "noone will be ever interested in this style" - fun fact, that was a practice session for ze SHMEL -, another time my mother went on and decided to bork into my room for some really shitty reason I don't even remember - that was for AS iirc.

Also, imo no point in voice-acting practice if you don't have a quality mic. Get a gear first.

Practicing for potentially voicing something later on. They sure do, but it's the only place (besides driving to work) where you don't immediately get interrupted by people (I live with 5 other people).

I do have a very good mic, spent a pretty penny on it. I've used it for other recording projects that required high quality audio.
