Correcto.

No this is not about making the Hind's rocket into missiles, it's about making the rockets/weapons visually represent the power of the Hind.

Perhaps it's because those three helis all use rocket pods.

So you are saying that because the Hind also uses rocket pods, it should have as much visual impact as a Littlebird or a Tiger? Why are you (the team) trying to make it sound like the Hind is supposed the be the King of all Helis then? Because right now, it is nothing more than a Littlebird with more bulk and less impressive AA-rockets.

There is nothing to set the Hind visually apart from the other Helis, nothing to make you look at it and say:"Damn that heli is particularly threatening compared to the other rocket barrage helicopters..."

Also, regarding to the Han firing only two missiles....a single Nuclear Missile from a Han has a lot more visual impact that a full barrage of rockets from the Hind and you know it...

Erm..... Hind uses 55 mm rockets, Littlebird uses 70 mm rockets, and Viper as a continuation of Cobra would use the 70 mm too.

And Hind firing the rocket barrage isnt all that spectacular unless it fires the whole pod in one go.

Thats one example.

There is little reason for the same weapon to look different just because it's being used by a different unit.

IIRC the Littlebird doesn't have an ability that makes it untargettable for a period of time.

I don't know where your getting this "king of all helis" idea, at most what I'm getting from the team is that the Hind is a "badass" chopper, but not necessarily the king. Besides, most of the appeal of the Hind comes from the fact that it's the mother fucking Hind, like how all dem merica fanboys get excited whenever they see the Apache or Abrams.

Well yeah, that's the point I was trying to make rolleyes.gif

the Han missiles can have more effects because there's a lot less of them. It's called visual balance afterall.

I very well understand, bro, because I was the one, myself, who started this discussion at the first place wink.gif

So let me get this straight: This is the most badass of all helicopters, the 'devil's chariot', which packs a gun, tons of rockets, anti-air missiles and as well as a new upgrade that makes it untargetable for as long as it takes to get all that wonderful firepower on target...And you dislike the fact that it FIRES A FUCKTON OF ROCKETS? What's wrong with you, man? XD

This is where I got the whole "King of the Helis" idea from, Zeke:)

The Mi-24 helicopter is propelled by two ISOTOV TV3-117A with a power of 2000 HP each. It’s crew is composed of one pilot and 1 copilot (in its trademark bubble styled cockpit), and can transport up to 8 soldiers. With a weight of 12000 kg (12 tons) and a max speed of 335km/h it has earned the nick name of Devil’s Chariot!

QUOTE
Afghani rebels called the Mi-24 the “Devil’s Chariot” because of the heavy firepower the Hind brought to the battlefield.

This "King of all Choppers" concept that you speak of is not something the team just pinned on some random chopper. The Hind is a RL badass.

But, despite all this badassness, the Hind is still as mass produced unit with fucktons of missiles, therefore it's effects can't be "too" spectacular, otherwise it would cause performance issues. That being said, the Hind's missile fxs are already quite spectacular, especially if you compare it to VZH heli missile fxs.

I -suppose- (hypothetically) that the Hind could be made to look more menacing by attaching some more fictitious elements to its model that make it look more bulky and replacing its 12.7mm gatling gun with a twin-barrelled GSh-23 autocannon turret with bigger, brighter tracers and splash but then again, we wanted to have a rotating autocannon on the Havoc as well, so that Russian helis would be diversified with a rotating autocannon, rotating gatling gun, rigid and semi-rigid cannons. I should note however that Hinds -are- even more menacing in 1.85 thanks to the Goliath upgrade, which substantially increases the chance that they'd get their payload on the target. If said target happens to be the only handful of AA units in the vicinity, the Hind can go to town on whatever else there is with impunity.

Seriously you want one even more menacing Hind? blink.gif I think now - 1.85 - Hind is a formidable helicopter to almost anything you can think about a assault helicopter.
