Tropico 3 has been released on the Americas. The Tropico games places you as a dictator of an stereotypical cold war era banana republic allowing you to be either a benevolent ruler that allows you to create a nearly utopian society or a tyrant that rules the small nation with an iron fist.

The Tropico games are the greatest things to happen to the genre other than the old Sim City games. Hope you all enjoy it.

Their production budget must dwarf their PR budget as I have never heard of the game before, and the tech looks solid. If I had the comp to run it, I would give it a try. keke.gif

I saw that game when I went to the city centre to buy Dragon Rising earlier this week. It's certainly an interesting concept. I wish you could play as other kinds of dicators
besides the typical El Presidente, though. Personally, I'd rather go for a 1984-style Big Brother society with telescreens and an architecture similar to Mirror's Edge.
