Bitch slapping SAGE since 2003

While the United States Air Force and Marine Corps began to introduce the V-22 Osprey in the early 2000s, the Army largely missed out on the advent of modern tiltrotor aircraft and stuck with the venerable CH-47 Chinook helicopter throughout the Global War On Terror. Meanwhile, the Osprey proved to be quite a formidable machine that combined the speed of an airplane with the deployability of a helicopter after its initial problems had been ironed out. During the mid 2030s, the Department of the Army tried to catch up with these developments by throwing its weight behind a new Air Force project that eventually produced the V-44 Starlifter, an enormous quadrotor VTOL aircraft with enough internal space and engine power to carry multiple combat vehicles, including tanks, as well as a sizeable detachment of infantry or drones. While the Ospreys and a number of other medium helicopters are still used for the more discrete 'high speed, low drag' style insertions, the Starlifters can move enough man- and firepower to the frontline to sustain an entire invasion on their own as evidenced by their performance in the Third World War, but also during a disaster relief operation in Puerto Rico, where a wing of USAF Starlifters delivered tons of medical supplies, food and other vital goods after Hurricane Xander had swept across the Caribbean in 2047

Surprise! Even though its re-inclusion was originally planned for 2.0, the AH-6 Little Bird will be making a comeback in the upcoming version 1.85. It retains its amazing agility, two transport slots for infantry units as well as its signature dual M134 Miniguns which can be supplemented with Hydra rocket pods via upgrade. Do note however that both the Starlifter and the Little Bird are still designed to be an optional addition to US tactics rather than their keystone, which is why you'll have to unlock them at Rank 1 if you wish to emphasise rapid airborne mobility in your gameplay.

Also tommorow we will be streaming the one match that was requesting since the start of the live streams namely a game of myself (The_Hunter) Versus Comr4de.
Be sure to tune in on Hecthor Doomhammers Twitch channel tommorow at 14:00 GMT

The Starlifter is simply the coolest aircraft I have ever seen so far - not only in ROTR but probably in my entire life - I loved this mini update is always great to see the little bird back. Thanks for this visual show. mindfuck.gif

The USA really needed a heavy transport aircraft. I hope I can carry my Paladins very soon into it.

Not really a reference. Natural disasters happen and it's only reasonable to mention noteworthy incidents in the setting, which is something I'd been wanting to do for a while. Plus, it's nice to see that this expensive hardware can also serve a non-military purpose, as it does in real life as well during such events.

I loved the Starlifter in Shockwave, I usually just used it to drop a ton of Mammoths behind the enemy's base.

Also, is the Giant Corkscrew Death Machine in the 1.85 build that is used for the streams?

No I believe it won't get introduced until 2.0 since I'm guessing it's only a campaign unit

Or both it.

Here is compare between Shockwave's Starlifter and RotR's Starlifter.

Technically, it's pretty much better model and skin than old Starlifter.

It is stylized as the Spectre Gunship which is also fat and compact in relation with the original aircraft. I like this conceptual style that transforms the units into something more interesting to the game.

^really that is my Dream a v-22 or this starlifter with a gunship armament Would be awesome especially for ironside or One of the new Generals in rotr.

You Guys Are Amazing. At least all the Waitting will Pay because of the tremendous effort and Energy These Guys have put into this mod. I mean the mod itself is Even netter than zero hour Generals and Generals 2 together.

Question: will the Sound of the miniguns of the Little Bird change? I mean will it be more like a Minigun? As i can remind the littlebirds in the Last Stream sounded like the Minigun from the old cobra if you know what i mean?

P.s. It is Not possible how much i luv you Guys because of making so many Things becoming reality. If Would be able i Would Pay You for your working!!!!! And no rather i am Rich Not i am Gay.

Good evening

Hey,one question, how much punishing Starlifter will it be able to take ?
I assume it will be slower than most of choppers,so it would be easy target,
meaning that it have to be tough...Will it be at level with P. Airship ?
Or softer ?

It will be about as tough as the airship, but final balance testing is still pending.
