What am I doing wrong? Is the problem vpersec (should be Upersec)?

It's usually UPerSec, the value doesn't matter as long as it's greater than 0 since it'll follow the tread animation rate specified in the codes.

Yh, I have no idea where I got this Vpersec from, since I used the tutorial from Sleipnir's Stuff.

Another thing... Now the treads are moving in wrong direction (instead of giving the idea of moving forward, gives the feeling of actually moving backwards).. I fixed this by "UPerSec = -0.5", will this give problems?

you need to flip your uvmaps to fix that.
