Oh.. yea i play on 6 factions map, all of them are on the highest difficulty.. is there a way to fix this? Yeah, go back in time and shoot the idiot designers that made Generals. I tried playing ONE hard opponent in Twilight Flame, it took ages. Also, to be more clear: The game doesn't slow down, it downright stops for small periods of time. |

If you're running Windows 7, you can follow this. It helps improve FPS with the AI considerably, at least for me.

There are some maps, where AI can't play normally, even if you will write your own scripts for him, because it's such engine of game. Actually, lags can be in any map, but in big maps lags will be for sure.

Putting C&C on my SSD actually seemed to help the issue for me. 7 AI on max difficulty.. Occasional stutter but nowhere near the boggy trouble the game had before... Of course that's an expensive fix if an SSD is unavailable.

Solid State Drive. These use either Flash Memory or Random Access Memory to store data, as opposed to hard disks.

Interesting. I'll have to google a bit about it. Enjoying some casual AI matches is one of my favorite things to do
