YEONCHEON BATTLE - A NEW INTERNET CRAZE
By: Houston Guriado AUGUST 30 - SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA The Yeoncheon village battle is now the most trending topic on all social media networking sites as news and videos provided by the South Korean Army reported that they had successfully stalled the North Koreans at the town of Yeoncheon, just a few miles from the border. Pictures and videos showing NK tanks exploding under SK fire is now plastered all over the internet. Also, it seems that many internet users have coined the term, "splurtz" after a video showing an NK tank column fall prey to anti-tank fire while a soldier was commenting, "Look at all those tanks go splurtz!" NK advancements on South Korea had not been more than a few miles, some anonymous South Korean officials say.
