Wow your stuff is so based!
I truly love the hard work and effort you've put into this.I also want to try my best in voice acting, I've already made some recordings on vocaroo that I've saved in a notepad text file. Will make a separate topic for it, but whatsoever don't expect it to be high-quality since my microphone is an integrated one to my A4tech headphones(HS-28). xD This post has been edited by Kestrel: 15 Sep 2014, 12:24 |

Added another 40K voice set up there, this time of a little more Orky nature =P. Might wanna refer to the description for what the deal is with this one as it sort of encompasses 4 different units =).

More voices have been uploaded and I'm currently in the process or sorting out some more =). It's been a while since I did and with all the positive feedback I've had about the Recyclers voice, I felt now would be a good time to jump to it and demo some more

Ah still no word from Sokol...
General Point aircraft VOs are pretty awesome and convincing, Recycler, like I've said before, sounds like something from original game, also great effort to voice all variants. |

I'm actually still on the fence about the Sokol, not sure if I wanna alter it or not. Something about it is grating on me

Some lines are missing at Recycler. Again. You don't want to tell where that character is born, eh? Also another variation upon the Wotan's microwave.
I don't like those two unit voicesets with the radio effects - they don't feel like an actual radio, moreso an overamplified voice with a radio effect pasted on. Especially that WH40k one. Should have gone with the radio effect setup of the ROTR supports, those are a hit. Tho yea, I acknowledge, I generally hate radio filtered voicesets by default. -------------------- AS Discord server: https://discord.gg/7aM7Hm2 | SWR Community Discord https://discord.gg/REcbv37 QUOTE ComradeCrimson: AS is the product of Hungarian acid ComradeCrimson: And magical hussars Dutchygamer: and Weird Al. I chose to omit that Recycler one because of reasons. And I just wanted to do something a bit different on the ones with a filter and besides, it's just my interpretation. To be honest the "radio" filters in reds are simply the result of the track having the highs and mids cut and a constant static effect played over them. Could argue that's not particularly "radio" like either.

Cheers fellas, I appreciate the feedback. But Graion, would you be so kind as to not post opinions like that on my Soundcloud and put them here instead. That page is fairly important and also serves as a showcase of sorts to anyone who might want to scout and possibly recruit me for other projects, its not just a random repository for my voiceovers. I don't mind if its a "yeah cool I like it" sorta deal or something positive, but its not really a place to have a list of comments telling me how much you dislike a voice set, prefer another, tell me I've missed stuff out or whatever, as it doesn't give a great impression. That stuff is best off here on the forum or to me directly.

I just love the Golem. Sounds a little like an all-mighty evil semi-god, adorating his sadistic master.
Good job for the engineer too. Just a question, for the "Abrasive Robot Announcer", you took inspiration from the Give Up flash game, right ? -------------------- My Soundcloud profile: right here |

The prev iteration was better, this one seems too forced to me imo, less natural. :s This post has been edited by Graion Dilach: 2 Feb 2015, 20:15 -------------------- AS Discord server: https://discord.gg/7aM7Hm2 | SWR Community Discord https://discord.gg/REcbv37 QUOTE ComradeCrimson: AS is the product of Hungarian acid ComradeCrimson: And magical hussars Dutchygamer: and Weird Al. It's no probs, don't worry about it =). There are a couple of reasons I changed it actually. Firstly because I felt it had too many gags in it to be really suited to Alex's army which is where it will inevitably be an exclusive unit. Secondly because the lines didn't have the aggression I felt was fitting of such a vehicle and its appearance, again sort of tying it into the overall mentality of Alexandr's forces. And thirdly it was quite an old set and I'm a damn sight better now at voice acting than I was then when I first recorded it, so I knew I could make a better job of it regardless =)
