Ok, I dunno if its just me or its a serious balance issue, but Granger has maybe a might too much against US generals? There is seriously nothing stopping one (granger) from building a helipad, two choppers and start hunting dozers and buildings before your opponent has any idea whats going on. Though granted my opponent is a seasoned Granger player, even he feels that Granger is too strong against US generals. And don't get me started on Ironside, his 50mm's are a joke. Take the same amount of GLA Quad Cannons and Ironsides Gladiators, and the QCs will mow down any air unit where as the Gladiators need serious numbers to do anything.
Maybe I'm just new, but something screwy is going on. Oh, and BTW, on future mods, could you please remove that stupid censor in the chatroom, its annoying when it bleeps out the word mook, considering thats your opponents name. This post has been edited by General Kenkaid: 18 Sep 2009, 4:44 |

Indeed, Gladiator's are difficult to destroy (IMO). But I agree on the fact that Granger has some unfair stuff. Just wait for the next patch, which will even out such things
Also, welcome to the forums. |

Gladiators are very difficult to destroy and do about 50% more damage per second against aerial targets than Quad Cannons do.
But yeah, other US generals have a more difficult time countering this. It's been corrected internally though - US generals will have better AA early on. This post has been edited by Chyros: 18 Sep 2009, 13:22 -------------------- TN

If it is not already, I would just make the Avenger buildable from start on (without need of a strategy center), like in 1.04 or something like that.

Tough, yes, effective, no. You'll need like 20 just to take down one bomber and thats assuming hes stupid enough to attack the inner section of your base, forget about outer defenses, those get off scott free. I have better success with Gatling tanks and QCs, though both of those are easily destroyed.

Problems with downing enemy aircraft is because the aircraft are simply too powerful. -------------------- TN

Which aircraft in particular are you referring to?

I was thinking that. Because Auroras are invincible until after their strike

Ruling out Auroras the main culprit is my dear little King Raptor. But it's not that armored when I use them...hmm.

actually the problem is Aurora bombers, they almost always manage to get away (and F-117's for that matter) if they attack your outer defense shield. I know they are invincible on their attack run, and capable of taking hits on their way out. Friend managed to take out a host of EMP Paitriot batteries (all close together for that matter) without the loss of a single bomber. Tell me thats not a problem.

Which aircraft in particular are you referring to? Well it's about a US v US conflict so I kinda meant US aircraft in general. Though of course the (King) Raptors, (Stealth/Laser) Comanches, (King) Stealth Fighters and Aurora stand out a lot.

Personally i would rate all Auroras useless and a waste of a genpoint, only the granger aurora is sometimes useful.
The only real problems are KR and KSF aswell as the armor gen aircraft that combine high damage and HP. -------------------- And you feel a sudden chill How do you do? My name is Trouble I'm coming for the kill... And you know I will |

US vs USAF has always been a problem due to the USA lack of direct-hit anti aircraft weaponry, aside from the non vUSA avenger and Ironside.
Gladiators also possess their charge up time for their weapon. Due to the speed of KRs this makes it rather hard to stop the planes from striking, but you are sure that when the Gladiators are not destroyed (and their armor helps at that) not a lot of planes are guaranteed to get back out. -------------------- |
