Firstly, Rise of the Reds will not cause you any problems.
Secondly, does Rise of the Reds run? You may have had the usual Vista problems when installed, such as not running as an admin or whatever. -------------------- |

Well the ZH directory gets a little untidy over time. ROTR and Shw are designed to work with a clean install of ZH ideally.
It may solve you problem. But try uninstalling both Shw and ROTR, then put only Rise of the Reds on. See if you still have problems. -------------------- |

Well either your copy of ROTR is corrupted, or you need a clean ZH installation.

All that it is is probably a mix up in .big files.
Could you please post a screenshot of your Zero Hour folder? -------------------- |

I see what's happened!
I had this same problem recently! Ok, you have both the shockwave .big and .gib files. You need to delete the following files: 0SW95.big 00swpatch.big 00095nostart.big Try it once you have done that, I believe that is all you need to remove. -------------------- |

You might need to clear that out a bit.
Attached to this post is the only scripts you need in that folder to run ROTR and Shw -------------------- |

The PC should be rebooted after uninstallation & reinstallation of Generals & Zero Hour, to be safe, even if it doesn't prompt you to do so. Thorough defragmenting and running ScanDisk/CHKDSK on your hard disk, a thorough scan for viruses and other malware with an updated, efficient, and reliable antivirus program and a specialized virus removal tool (like Trojan Remover), checking your PC if it is well-cooled, ventilated, and not overclocked should also help too. And don't forget to patch Generals (v1.07) and Zero Hour (v1.04)!

Make sure you delete the folder after uninstalling, you have one hell of a mess there currently.
