No, you move.

We know that the WEA has Turtling and more turtling with some movable units, the ADF has artillery and infantry spam, WLF has the standard Poision and ambush, AC has Tanks and air force.

But those are just the subfactions

What do each faction actually focus on (Or do they just focus on those two and each subfaction further focuses on one concept).

Well technically from a pure gameplay point of view each faction doctrine revolves around it's 2 main features (like the AC example of heavy tanks and strong airforce). But the faction itself is just one. You just chose ingame which of it's 2 tech paths you want to follow. In short you don't chose a subfaction from the skirmish menu - you chose it ingame.
From a more lore related point of view each faction theme is a combo between it's politics, it's specific technology and it's gameplay style. So in short:

WEA - due to it's paranoid induced isolation as well as it's position between the asian hammer and the murican fist has a highly turtling nature. This also fueled their recycling part, since they don't have a huge import market. Also being the most advanced technologically faction and the only one with a highly advanced space-technology it uses quite a few forms of exotic looking weapons.
So in short WEA specializes in heavy defenses, heavy infantry and units that can either deploy into defenses or work as more or less mobile defenses (minelayer, fireports apc's etc). Their specific weapon systems are Photon Weapons (the orange 'solar' plasma), Railguns and EMP with a bit of drone flavor.

AC - because of their - deploy fast and secure with heavy ground forces tactics, AC emphasis on air superiority and heavy ground vehicles. They bomb their enemies to stoneage and then control the conquered area with ground troops far superior to any other faction. This theme was pretty much imposed by the fact that lore wise the north american continent was devastated after the meteors impact and as a result AC became a multi-continental faction in it's desperation to survive.
Their specific technologies will be Lasers, Plasma and Microwaves along with robotic/drone units.

ADF - After getting more or less screwed in the solar furnace project, most asian super powers were forced to return to nuclear power. That along with the massive amount of immigrants that came after the impacts forced them into adopting a more - lets improve what we have and not die of hunger instead of investing in fucktons of new stuff and risk huge riots. So ADF is mostly focusing on improving existing techs and modern day/ZH era units rather than coming up with alot of new stuff. They have a industrial feeling in pretty much everything they build. The whole immigrant and economic recession pretty much explains their horde and less exotic technologies part as well as their tech branches.
Their specific technologies will be Nukes, Napalm Warheads and Electronic Weapons (tesla, ecm, hacking).

GLF - well freedom fighters are freedom fighters. Since this faction is not exactly a country on it's own and they don't posses actual means to a economy system, they use ambush and hit&run tactics to achieve their goals. That along with crippling the enemy with poisons and other forms of dirty warfare. So basically their theme is stealth, fast speed and area of effect damage.
Their specific technologies will revolve around toxins, viral weapons and probably some other stuff. Atm GLF is the least thought out of all factions.

Surprise Faction - if ever done, it will be a ... surprise tongue.gif

I hope this answers the theme part, cause outside their specific gameplay and lore parts, not sure there's much i can say.

MASS tech is now part of another faction. More details once we get to that faction. There will no longer be epic units for all factions, however AC will have the choice between 3 experimental units (where some of the old EC stuff will return as well).

As for the corrosive tech and ac buggy - tech trees have changed drastically since EC. You will find both of those but not for AC.
