SWR Productions Forum _ Games Discussion _ What is your opinion about Yuri's Revenge: Red Resurrection mod?

Although I love Mental Omega but I also love this mod as well for some interesting things they bring into their design:

-The Allied are just plain evil with some of their weapon and their portrayal. Japan colonialism with bio weapon (Plague Strike, Science Vessel), Euro with high tech but with tons of friendly fire and they don't give a damn about it and they even got Crackdown ability to crush riot, America is just plain evil with napalm, mercenary, assassination, Brit still got India as their colony and shoot their protester.

-The Soviet got Yugoslav with high tech but in their own interesting way, they are the most unique one in my own opinion for their technology.

-Epic tank for Euro like Russia and both are as much destructive like other. Every other faction got a good way to brute force (either go tanky or area denial) as well as even faction like Japan still have Rishiki for cheap heavy infantry spam.

-Some of Yuri tech got split out, Allied with magnetic and flying disc mechanic. Soviet with plague, mind control and psionic tech.

-Both sides got their own interesting thing to use like Scorcher/Terror Drone for Soviet or tank hacking mechanic with Master Control for Allied.

But aside that there was one thing that annoy me is that the Soviet is even stronger with the amount of early game advantage and splash damage they got. Lybia annoy the most because they kill infantry too easily and their tank are annoying as well.

That's all of my opinion about this mod. I love it just as much as Mental Omega mod even if I know there are something that I don't like about both mods.

If Mental Omega is Rise of the Reds, Red Resurrection is Operation Firestorm.
